A retired California police officer moved to Idaho and began working at the Meridian (Idaho) Police Department. In June of this year, a 16 year old kid crashed his dirt bike about a mile from his home. Later, when his brothers went to retrieve the bike for their brother (who was in the hospital), they were approached by Officer Bradley Chambers. Encountering the least bit of resistance from the boys, who had just struggled to load the bike into a truck, Officer Chambers chose violence.

  2. Ok this comment will probably not get seen but it occurred to me (after hundreds of hours of watching arrest content) 99.9% of the time cops say “stop resisting” even when it’s beyond obvious that’s not happening or when it’s a natural reaction to stop the injury that cops are inflicting. This is disgusting and if I were a lawyer I would start showing bodycam montages of the officer’s arrests to juries to show the game….

  3. Why is it not a FELONY for police officers to?:

    Lie to their superiors
    Gaslight suspects
    Turn off their body cams
    Write false police reports

If any of us took any of these same standards to our jobs we would be fired pretty quickly! We so badly need police reform across the board in this country…and then, you got this neighbor guy who's virtue signaling by taking that officer's side without knowing anything about anything, further bolstering the police's egotistical problems. People touting "back the blue!" like they're taking a higher moral position than the next person is a big problem as well. I wish I was someone high up in government with the power to do something about this because this is all sickening.

  4. As someone who has lived in both California and in Meridian/Eagle/Star Idaho, the worst most corrupt police force I’ve ever witnessed was in Idaho. So glad I moved back home to Cali, living in Idaho was the worst 5 years of my life. That officer needs to go to prison for the way he treated that kid.

  5. You have no idea the things that have happened in this area with the cops. The Boise police department has a reputation for their gestapo type tactics and so does Meridian. Boise has their system down really well. They’re about the only law-enforcement agency that gives departmental issued weapons to the officers. Most jurisdictions require the officers furnish their own. When the police get a call, not one or two squad cars arrived but 5 to 10 cop cars arrive. When something happens you don’t have two or three or four cops shooting bullets you have 15 to 30 cops shooting bullets. When you try to do an investigation afterwards, you can with a few cops, but with 15 to 30 cops you can’t. You can never determine which bullet did what. But Boise m, Meridian and surrounding jurisdictions have their tactics down. They know what they’re doing and this is how they do it. They lose video footage they lose audio footage. It’s amazing how much evidence can be lost by police officers when it comes to being against them rather than favor for them. Welcome to Idaho. This is not a California thing. This is an Idaho thing.

  6. He just walks up and demands they take down the bike, and doesn't articulate a crime. The kids ask why and he refuses to answer, only that its part of his investigation. They're on their property and its their bike. Isn't supposed to answer the question and articulate?

  7. If this kid's resistance was merely passive, the officer would not have had to physically struggle to place him into handcuffs. Your statement about police officers using the phrase "stop resisting" merely for the purpose of theatrics, shows your lack of objectivity.

  8. The cop was definitely a tool but….Let people do whatever the fuck they want. Fuck it…everyone is quick to blame the cops but take no accountability for their actions. Sure he’s violating his rights but did he comply? no. Did he resist? yes…was the cops’ actions wrong? Yes but think of how much easier it would have been had he just complied. There is a process to everything, sure it’s not always convenient to sue but it is the only correct way to deal with it. Resisting because of “your rights” is the dumbest shit you can do when dealing with police. You are creating animosity between both parties and it creates a distrust on both sides. You think being a cop is easy? I dare you to try it for just a month. This way even if you don’t care, you’ll have a better understanding of why they are the way they are.

  9. They're supposed to be PEACE officers. How was that handled peacefully??? The cop purposely escalated this and purposely assaulted this kid.

  10. Just be glad you live in a free country. This ambulance chaser lawyer is nuts. The cop never swept his legs out. Thanks for disproving your theory. This Aggie tough guy didn’t comply. Play stupid games win stupid prizes!!

  11. Firstly, Officer, ASKING why is not the same as ARGUING about why. These kids clearly were willing to let you investigate, they just really didn't want to have to unload and then reload the bike. If you had listened to them, you could have gain compliance just by telling them that you needed it for more than just pictures…that you were taking it into evidence or something like that. They weren't being defiant, they were just wanting a good reason why they should unload/reload.

And the Resist and Obstruct statute in Idaho requires that they resist, delay or obstruct you in your duty. Did you try to remove the motorcycle from the truck yourself, and they tried to prevent you? No. You demanded that THEY remove it from the truck. They didn't resist, delay or obstruct YOU DOING YOUR DUTY. They just didn't do your duty for you. THAT isn't a violation.

  12. "The number of new cancer patients globally has risen by 37% in eight years. That's what happens when you have a health care system that favors profits over people."

Absolutely love this channel and the work you do, but that, along with the rest of the ad copy, is a bunch of hooey propaganda type language and you know it.

#1. Stating a global statistic, and then blaming it on the capitalist healthcare system in the USA, is nothing but manipulative hooey. How could our local system cause cancer all around the world?
#2. Stating that ANY healthcare system, ours or otherwise, is to blame for NEW cancer cases, is nothing but manipulative hooey. People don't get cancer because somebody else is greedy.

Can't you advertise a sponsor's product without spewing malarkey and conspiracy dogma all over the place? You're an attorney for crying out loud, and seemingly a pretty good one. You KNOW the sentences you said are crap. If a prosecutor strung together some logic interpretation like that you would tear it apart. So don't do it yourself. We're supposed to believe you're a man of high integrity, right? Do you think we're too stupid to see through obvious bullshit?

I realize you probably didn't write the copy for the sponsor's product. But you at least read it out loud to the camera. Maybe it's a good product, and maybe it's not, but we'll never know because the bullshit copy makes the whole thing suspect like snake oil and we're never going to try it.

  13. I feel like the police officer was a little out of hand and should be investigated, however the boys were extremely disrespectful to the officer from the get go. Still not acceptable for the teen to be face planted and handled that way

  14. They moved the dirtbike to cover up the damage done to the property owner's car from the little jackass crashing and slamming into their car. The two kids acted like a couple of entitled hicks when dealing with the officer. Then they do resist the officer when he told him to step back from the truck and bike. Riding the bike on the road is illegal, riding the way that he was is plain negligent, and then when they moved the bike so that some poor property owner will come out and find damage to their car and no apparent cause.

  15. Let me guess, this officer's wife fought back during her morning beating and the cop was butthurt, so he took it out on some children?

  16. I live in Boise. Everyone who's from this area knows that the majority of meridian cops are AH's. I support the police as long as they're not acting like this guy.
