Idaho Murders: Surviving Roommate Pushes Against Testifying in Bryan Kohberger Case

One of the two roommates who survived the brutal Idaho quadruple murders has asked the court if she can pass on testifying at suspect Bryan Kohberger’s preliminary hearing in June. The accused student murderer allegedly stabbed four University of Idaho students to death in November — Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves. The Law&Crime Network’s Sierra Gillespie has the latest details.

  1. Why are there still so many things being kept from the public!?? Why had Kohberger not testified once in the past two years? It’s like he’s mute.

Why is the roommate just now being identified and asked to testify?? This is being dragged out because necessary things aren’t being done.

  2. I think there was more then 1 killer..one guy couldn't kill four people in the time frame and I don't think the killer was talking to the victims but to another attacker..then nothing but a small drop of blood on knife case when Brian had no wounds not to mention the 8hr delay in calling 911..I think there's no other DNA because the killers DNA was already all over the house if you get where I'm going with this case…just my opinion but will all have to sit back and watch the show to see what comes out at trial

  3. No pity for these two. Something is so shady. Why were police not called for 8 hours? Why did the entire Greek community know before the police? Why were they “cleaning up” before they called? And now one of them doesn’t want to testify? SHADY!!!!

  4. Don't judge her too quick, her "pushing back" is smart for her own sake & will not hurt the prosecutions case, because it's a preliminary hearing & the defense wants to use her testimony to get the charges dropped by having the probable cause affidavit thrown out by the judge.. And also, in a murder case where an eyewitness is crucial to the case, a good defense attorney will use the preliminary hearing as an opportunity to hurt the credibility of an eyewitness by carefully framing questions to elicit specifically worded answers that they know will contradict future testimony or at least give the jury that impression, which was a strategy masterfully performed by Robert Shapiro in the OJ trial.. ⚖

  5. When Brian khoberger was arrested he said has any one else been arrested.the surving roommate does not want to testify because her story will unravel when she is giving evidence,I believe 100% he had an accomplice.

  6. Never heard of anyone talking to defense attorneys during a preliminary hearing. Sounds like they are trying to intimidate her. Murder is murder. Let the one who did it get the death penalty. Bethany is a witness for the trial. Defense attorneys have to know they defend guilty people sometimes and do it anyhow. So deceitful.

  7. They want to find out what she saw or heard so they can intimidate during trial. Gives them the upperhand. Prosecution imo has a strong case and will get the correct person.
