Prosecutors announced they will seek the death penalty for Bryan Kohberger if he’s convicted of murdering four University of Idaho students. The state alleges Kohberger brutally stabbed the four college students to death in their off-campus home in November 2022 and left behind a knife sheath containing his DNA. The Law&Crime Network’s Jesse Weber breaks down five reasons why prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for the accused killer with Professor Jules Epstein, the director of advocacy programs at Temple University Beasley School of Law.

  1. Hmmmm im wondering about the judge if bryan k dont have a chance cause thompson has no evidence he did this and when its prove hes innocence the ones who did this best get the sane things they put bryan k thru and its not just about kaylee n maddue u got xana and ethan and bryan n brent are victims

  2. 1. Unless the kill was watching them that night, how the killer know that everyone was home?
    2. Why the over kill?
    3. Why kill everyone, if only one or two were the target?
    4. The kill moved from room to room in the dark, how did he know the locations of the bedroom?
    5. With so many people in the house, why was he so sure Nathan would not be a threat, he was an athlete, tall strong.
6.with so many Ring Cameras, how did the kill keep from being seen.

  3. If BK is found guilty, could BK going on social medea, anonymously describing what happened to the victims, calling into talk shows about it, taunting police, after the murders, enjoying the thought that he thinks he got away with murder, could this be cosidered aggravating fators, for the death penalty?

  4. I’m offended that Jesse doesn’t think Kohberger deserves the death penalty. He stalked and stabbed to death 4 young people- the actual injuries haven’t been released to the public. If he’s flu d guilty he’s a monster.

  5. If an individual has committed murder clearly already showing a level of depravity in their own humanity…what is the point to multiple life sentences over the death penalty. It seems that is more of a decision driven by guilt rather than common sense. It's not like the individual is going to actually live long enough to complete all these life sentences nor will he/she be rehabilitated after such time so what is the point….is it so we don't feel equally guilty of taking a life… obviously the act of murdering is already inhumane to begin with but in these cases necessary and pointless to view otherwise.

  6. I was thinking if you intended to kill or had murder in your nature. I would think that he would have done so when he was a heroin addict. I find it strange that he has no violence in his past, not even to animals . Drugs remove inhibitions, and still no aggression . Very interesting
