A California woman vanished after she and her boyfriend were ambushed in a random shooting attack while sitting in their car at a park on Sunday. Andrea Vazquez’s boyfriend fled from the attack and when he returned, she was gone. Authorities tracked the 19-year-old’s phone and found her dead nearly 50 miles from the crime scene. The Whittier Police Department arrested 20-year-old Gabriel Esparza, the son of an LA County fire captain, and charged him with murder, kidnapping, and attempted rape. All these people are talking s about him running. The poor girl was shot in the head, so it's pretty obvious to run and get help. If he stayed, then he would have died to and they would have no details about anything. You will never know what you will do in a situation you have never been in. The real question is why this did happen.

Life is still a wild jungle and survival of the fittest in every shape or form. Gotta be alert, ideally armed, and trust nobody.
It could also be that he just saw her and thought she was attractive and decided to attack them at random. However it could also be that he knew her from social media and became obsessed without her knowing.

A few years ago two teens were shot execution style in the park right next to my house. It turned out it was mistaken identity…they confused the teen boyfriend w a rival gang member and took the opportunity to snuff them out. I’ll never forget the wails of the mothers. So if it was truly random maybe it was mistaken identity. But I think there was a connection
