Everyone thought it was a cover up and no one cared about a mex-american. The truth was yet another catholic cover up of deception and truth. I can't understand why the priesthood took so long to tell the police of the confession. He should have gone to jail too. He was just as guilty and corrupt hiding evidence of a murder.

Sadly, I'm not surprised. You will find the sickest individuals at churches. I will not step foot in one. My heart hurts for Irene and her family. She did not deserve to die like that.

Missouri Monk Dale Tacheny knew and got a promotion for covering it up. Father Joseph O’Brien from McAllen, TX knew because he sent Fiet to Tacheny.
Feit only served 4 years and died. 2 clergyman of the Catholic Church knew for 50 years. They all will have to confess to God.

I don't know who's worse – corrupt politicians we vote on, or members of a religious institution that its congregation should be able to trust. Shame on those who hide behind their status and power, and those who help cover up their mistakes for the sake of reputation.
In the eyes 👀 of the church ⛪️ John Feit biggest crime wasn’t killing Irene Garza but leaving the church. It wasn’t until he wasn’t longer serving a priest that O’Brien and Tacheny came forward to testify against Feit. Also is alarming that the church even has a special place to “fix” pedophiles, to then be sent back to “serve” the church. Lastly Priest should be allow to have families, wives some sexual degenerations such as this one and many other can be avoided, and even tho is not justified under any circumstances I wonder how much sex deprivation place a role on this types of crimes.

All I can hope for at this point is poor Irene cleared her conscience at her last confession and went directly to Heaven with no stops between. I hope she is resting with the Lord.

The Roman Catholic Church is not a force for goodness or moral authority in the world. It should be ridiculed for its hypocrisy, maligned for its venality and cover-ups, and judged with contempt and hatred for all the sins that it has suborned or committed and for all the lives it has despoiled through abuse, child rape and murder (among other means) throughout the centuries. Any of its laity who let the church handle its own "disciplining" internally, of CRIMINAL MATTERS, are complicit in these acts, too. And that f**ker is more concerned that it had happened in 1960 than about the fact that he held a position of trust, in the clerisy, and not only sinned, but committed murder. I wish nothing less than eternal damnation upon this hideous man.
This guy pretty much got away with murder. If convicted, he’ll probably will spend less than 5 years in prison before passing away naturally.
