A lot of people are getting emails from companies like Costco and Best Buy that want them to take a survey. But who are these emails really from and what’s the catch? In this video I’ll go down the rabbit hole and show you what I learned!
I talk about Privacy.com in this video. They have a great service that lets you create one-time use cards where you can set the amount.
I also reference fakespot.com which is a plugin for your browser that rates customer reviews. I find it extremely helpful when shopping online.
Your pronunciation of Akron, Ohio tells me you're not from Ohio lol
Please don’t be a chicken you live in a one party consent state stop be woke
Liv Swift — yeah, she’s Taylor Swift’s aunt. 😎😎😎
Pro tip, don’t knock those knock-off watches. If you buy an expensive watch, Omega, Rolex, Tag, buy the same model in a knock-off. Better to lose (or, get robbed of) a fake.
I saw the same thing on TikTok for a Coca Cola fridge
I’ve seen Home Depot also on line. I think everybody should watch these vids of yours,a lot of them I knew about, but the scary part was I didn’t know all of yours on line!
I love this YouTube video, very valuable information. I've learned a lot about scams and what to look out for to avoid these. Keep up the good work, Ben! Kimberli Allen, SC
The products look so sleazy you may as well be ordering from Temu
watching pleasant green review a smart watch with those typical tech influencer cliches is so good
i recently had 1 of those Instagram scams where the person pretends to be someone i follow but on a different account so they can " interact with their follows". Basically all the person did was constantly asking me to sign up to this membership stuff, so i kept them chatting and making them do stuff like send me voice notes and vids (which were the worse deep fake PS2 graphic vids I've seen) and kept them doing this for 5 weeks until i finally caught on a realized they weren't getting any money. Love messing with scammers.
Of course this is a scam. Mr. Pleasant green is not sure? I just lost all respect for Mr. Pleasant Green.
I say it IS a scam. I would not give my credit card number to anyone even slightly suspicious!
that FAKESPOT app (addon) you mentioned also doesn't get great reviews…
I signed up for a knee brace from a YouTube video. It was 2 for $79. It took seemingly forever to get the knee brace and when it came it was a cheap knockoff Chinese leg brace that I could have bought from a local store for much less money.
I keep getting a Costco survey but I have never been to Costco and I have no plans to go there.
i seen that add and i knew it was a lot knock off junk and i seen down bottom page on charges need less to say never ordered from them and site just a big joke
Got it hiding as cabelas, tractor supply, and Lowe’s.
Try again to charge it, but 180° from how you did it in the video, so that the contacts are facing down
I don't click on links. I did, however, get an email saying my password had been changed… by someone in Russia! I changed it… in the city I live in. Deleted it!
Make sure to check the number when you are calling Costco. I had a digital item return, and when I called, an East Indian Customer Service answered. I got suspicious, so I hung up and rechecked the number. When I Googled the number, it shows it is in a dilapidated car towing/shop in Kirkland, WA. That is all because I misdialed one digit. Yes, the person was ready for their scamming script. Thank you for all your warning.
I wish you create a video on pretend XFinity scammers, too.
"Ben Dover" as a cover name l love it 😂🤣😂😅😂🤣😂🤣
Next time try "Oliver Clothesov" as a cover name please.
LMAO & BTW why hasn't COSTCO issued a cease and disist order??
NOTHING IS FREE. STOP GOING AFTER THESE SO CALLED FREE THINGS
turn the whatch in the charger and it whil charge you put the contacks of the watch up and the contackts of the charger ar on the bottem
I was!!! I ordered a 99 cent usb blender and it ended up costing me $78 a month for 3 months until I got my credit card company involved. They cancelled my credit card because there was NO way to stop the monthly “membership fee” they insist I signed up for. I now have a new card that came with a virtual number that I can use for online purchases that can be changed without effecting actual services I pay for monthly via credit card. Scam scam scam right from the get go but at damned least I did get a crappy little one serving blender out of it. I did get every penny of my money reimbursed via VISA. I don’t fall for that crap anymore.
