The 19-year-old Michigan girl who fatally doused her sleeping father with a mixture of lye and water spoke to the Law&Crime Network after being sentenced Tuesday. Megan Joyce Imirowicz went home after receiving a year in prison with credit for time served and five years of probation. Imirowicz emphatically denies that she took the life of her dad, Konrad Imirowicz.

  1. Try to imagine if this was your child and you had to live what she has been living. You cant fault her for what her daughter did. No matter what your children do you love your children unconditionally. Obviously the judge felt you deserve a second chance to prove herself. After a year in jail I think it's ok for mother and daughter to smile and be happy that she's able to be home. I know I would. Not everybody needs to be locked up to live and learn from there mistakes. Someday you could be that mother dealing with a situation like there's. Nobody has the right to jjudge or degrade them. Jesus isn't anyones daddy. So nobody's perfect.

  2. If her mom cares so much for her daughter then why did she allow the girl to live with dad? All this girl cared about was getting a credit card. She said she loved her dad but didn't care he was in the hospital.

  3. wow that judge is Gullible af .. she shouldn’t be a judge she sentenced her with her emotions not actual law .. girl is guilt & was found guilty by a jury & she judge let’s her walk wow 🤦🏻‍♀️

  4. I hope someone dumps acid on her. The mixture she poured, when it contacts water, it reaches a boiling point immediately. It was literally acid. Then months of pain agony, and double amputation. And she gets off with nothing? Someone has to get justice for her poor father. I say eye for an eye or acid for acid.

  5. People need to give this girl a break! She was 18 her 18th birthday! Anyone who thinks she did this knowing the out come I can't see their side! Yes they were laughing didn't you see her face she was shocked when the judge gave her a second chance she didn't do this intensely! And the giggling could be nervous, realive, and happy She's got another chance….

  6. I have nuxed feelings about this case. It seems the parents failed her in a big way leaving her to be sole caregiver at her age od an alcoholic father who literally couldn't even get up to use the bathroom! I've witnessed someone's father in that condition who literally had the liquor store deliver his liquor to him! The smell and image get of him passed out while trying to crawl to his bed was horrific! But that being said i feel the judge was too lenient with hee sentence. Hopefully she actually becomes what she's saying she wants to be and a productive law abiding citizen

  7. Why was LYE on the coffee table…. I believe she is innocent 100%
She is not intelligent enough to know what lye would do. So why would she put that on her father.. To many loop holes, I believe the brother was young, wanted to live like a 19 yr old, do what 19 yr olds do. He didn't want to be settled down with a sick father. But to HIS defense, no child should have to take care of a sick parent at that age. Sad for everyone of those children involved. Pray for them… 😢

  8. The child’s OUTLOOK on her Probation BEING HELPFUL IS A GREAT SIGN that she wants so badly to work HARD & stay focused and on track…& as she prayed for a MIRACLE for sentencing, I PRAY A MIRACLE for HER LIFE SPAN AHEAD….

  9. It’s the exact sentence she should have had. The judge did her job sincerely and with a lot of insight, wisdom and knowledge of the child. Each case should be taken individually and each sentence individually and this was clearly done.

  10. This story is so sad. This girl has been given a chance. Just one chance to turn a screwed-up life around. Imagine someone gave you a chance to do the right thing after years of no guidance because your own temper kept you in a place that didn't allow you to learn how to become a good citizen. I hope this girl really makes her dreams a reality. Even if she is just able to get any job and learn how to live with others would be a great accomplishment. She has so much to overcome. I am not sure if the Judge made the right decision, I am not a lawyer, but I hope this young lady really does become a good citizen for the sake of others.

  11. The judge wouldn't have had the same level of compassion if the defendant was a boy. A poor man's life was taken and she only gives the killer 1 year with time served, sick!
