It’s interesting to note the differences of Susan Smith and a woman who was actually out of her right mind Andrea Yates. Andrea was acquitted and institutionalized. She has done the work and speaks on maternal mental health. Then when given the option to get out she refuses. Then Susan who claims she wasn’t in her right mind has done no work and never really taken accountability but wants to be free.
