An 18-year-old California man was shot by police after failing to comply with officers while allegedly armed with a knife on April 7. The Oxnard Police Department said bystanders called 911 saying that Christian Baltazar Torrez was threatening them with a knife while inside one of a nearby resident’s truck. The situation escalated when Torrez, who was warned to drop the knife several times, advanced toward officers. The Law&Crime Network’s Sierra Gillespie has the details.

As someone who is british and I am strongly against what was done here in my opinion they only needed one person with a Firearm and he could of been brought in alive surely when the man was tazed he would of been less likely to attack plus he would be stunned so he wouldnt be able to do much in that situation you could of been able to tackle the man whilst he was being tazed because he wouldnt be able to attack because he was in a state of paralyasis and they could of got the knife off him and A life would of been spared Thats just my opinion and I am sure many British police Officers would agree with me I guess thats just the american way of handling things.

Amazing how we pay these people to preserve life and so often these corrupt cops take life because they are scared of being hurt when they took their paths it was a serious thing and bottom line they know they are risking their lives to protect the people not shoot them.
