  1. Has anyone given any thought to the fact that these “anonymous” phone calls could actually be, being made by the law student himself, just to prove his own points? This doesn’t pass the sniff test for me, I would be looking into those phone calls myself.

  2. Anytime a law enforcement officer presents one the opportunity to "play games" or "do this the hard way", one should seize this opportunity because, "We choose to… do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win, and the others, too."

  3. Why didn’t the cop simply call the owner of the junkyard to find out if the suspect was telling the truth? You know, conduct an investigation. So simple, it proves the cop wanted to make something out of nothing. 🤬

  4. I don't disagree that he had a right to refuse but in this situation he really should've provided the info and avoided the situation because the cop was calm and just trying to verify the situation. I completely agree with his refusal in the situation with the cops at his dorm, that situation could've gone different if he didn't know his rights. I just think he should use better judgement about when it makes sense to dig in and make an issue about something. The dorm situation was appropriate, but using this play in the second situation was dumb regardless of the out come.

  5. As a retired police lieutenant I’m shocked that it took so long for Supervisor Dumbshit to realize this kid got reason to sue everyone in the room over what was just admitted on all their bodycams. All those deputies combined don’t have the total IQ points of this kid. Stupid stuff like this makes me proud of my 29 years of no ethics complaints.

  6. He’s lied multiple times and that’s not ever going to look good in future court cases for him. Some people just don’t know how to tell the truth and they shouldn’t be allowed to carry a badge. This has to stop. I’m sick of watching videos of Americans being treated like trash and abused. Cops are never held accountable because our just us system is so badly broken.

  7. NMSU doesn't have a law school but it sounds like their criminal justice course are well taught. I'm not sure a person should call themselves a law student in undergrad studying criminal justice. That's usually what law enforcement studies if they want to advance their careers.

  8. The LEO lacks humility. He failed to ask, "What if I am wrong?" This is a common failing among LEOs. Additionally, they fail to grasp the risk/benefit significance and COST to the community. THINK BEFORE YOU ACT!

  9. The locksmith has to see proof that it's his car before he makes a key for him. How does that stupid cop not know that? He wouldn't be trying to make him a key. Also, why do they all think we should just give up our rights just because they say it will make things easier? Selfish and dumb.

  10. Want to make it right supervisor okay here's what you can do arrest him right now for assault false arrest and deprivation of civil rights right now right in front of me and we'll be square if not see yall in court

  11. Only a fool fights over principle.

Was the kid within his right? Yes.

However, he got arrested, his car towed, stuck in a cell for hours and they found out his name and date of birth. Then they dropped the case so he had no recourse.

Was that a smart decision not to just give the cop his name and be on his way? I'd argue, No.

  12. The people don’t have to contribute to the cop’s investigation.
13:02 arrest him and find out who he is in the lawsuit; duh. Violate his civil rights. Nobody doubt the preferential treatment you give your friends “you know”.
26:44 You lost your Qualified Immunity

  13. To think they are going to arrest each officer from each person calling and complaining about the tyranny would be satisfying if each officer was arrested for defamation of rights under color of law.

  14. If this goes to a Gary trial each jury ought to have the chance to be put in handcuffs so they know exactly what the duration of being in handcuffs does to a person. Ask the jury to volume to go through torture.
To get a understanding the importance to be trained properly to do their duty to this country.

  15. I..Hope..Cop here.. learned his lesson and know the laws.. I hope the student here go through with this lawsuit.. I'm proud of the student here standing up for his rights..💯💯💯💯💯👊

  16. When hired, lying and talking over people while copsplaining must be the first(and last) things they ever learn. Cop lied during unlawful arrest, then lied again when asked if he had lied. Supervisor lied as well. Imagine the lies they have told in court.
