In this episode of Crime Watch Daily Updates: On the outside, Rob and Kandi Hall had a picture-perfect life. But we all know that pictures never really tell the full story.
Kandi, Rob, and their two teenage daughters uprooted their lives in California and moved to Meridian, Idaho, a relatively large city with tons of greenery and views of the mountains.
In September 2010, 40-year-old Kandi was introduced to 30-year-old Emmett Corrigan, who was looking to hire a paralegal. Emmett and Kandi began having an affair within weeks of knowing each other, and it continued throughout her time working for him.
Emmett was married and had 5 kids, but that didn’t stop Emmett and Kandi’s relationship. The affair continued for months until it reached its tragic conclusion on March 11, 2011.
That night, Kandi and Emmett met up in a Walgreens parking lot, where she left her car and got into his truck. The two drove around and stopped to have sex.
Rob found out Kandi’s car was at the Walgreens parking lot because one of their daughters happened to drive by and see it, so he got in his car, went to Walgreens, and searched for her. He came up empty-handed, then waited in his car until she returned. Soon enough, Emmett and Kandi pulled in.
Rob and Emmett started arguing, and Rob shot Emmett in the head and the chest. Rob tried shooting himself and suffered a graze wound to the top of his head.
Rob was convicted in 2012 of second-degree murder and sentenced to 30 years in prison. He will be eligible for parole in 2028. Meanwhile, Kandi was arrested for stealing over $32,000 from one of her previous employers. In 2013, Kandi pleaded guilty to grand theft and was sentenced to 2 to 14 years in prison. She was released in 2020.
Rob appealed his conviction in 2016, but the appellate court upheld the original decision. He then appealed to the Idaho Supreme Court in 2021, which also affirmed his guilty conviction.
Now let’s look back at a case where a rendezvous at the drugstore turned deadly.

Your husband died in the arms of another woman. How did that make you feel?
Smh
I do support the right to wear arms but man, there sure is alot of times where what would have been just a verbal dispute in another western country ends dramatically with someone loosing their life just because one of the parts have a firearm. It's not uncommon at all that pepople find themselves in situation where things get so heated that if someone had a firearm available it prob would end deadly it's just not available in the same way in the rest of the west. You should have youre gun right but man, there sure is a lot of needless loss of life over arguments and disputes that in most other countries never would end deadly.
I just find it curious that theres so much being said and conveyed to the viewer but not one minute goes to pondering that none of this would have turned deadly if that guy didnt have access to a firearm. It's the same thing with the never ending flood of videos of young women driving intoxicated and killing people left and right coming out of the usa.
It's an epidemic. It's said that it's tragic, and never a tought spent to do more to prevent those events to unfold in the first place. or at least get it to levels comparable to the rest of the west.
Again i support rights to wear arms but damn, sure wish there could be some regulation or policies in place for making access to firearms not so available in situations where people are just pissed off and having and argument.
Watching the whole Dateline episode, this Kandi seems off somehow, like with bipolar or BPD in her overly expressive affect as well as her terrible decisions. There’s nothing about her that seems solid & trustworthy.
Cheating Never ends well. 😢
Married in the temple is the first red flag. They have both been raised in an unrealistic environment. Women are not created for men. Having a crap load of children will not make you happy and is not the way to your planet. Without religion, Emmet might have married who he loved and not who he thought the church and their parents would be happy with.
Kandi made Emmet feel good about himself. Ashlee made him feel like he was doing what he was supposed to for the church. Get out of religion.
Emmett got what he deserved! You don't mow another man's lawn. I feel bad for his wife and kids but Emmett was a POS & so was Kandi. Free Rob Hall and divorce that skank.
Kandi cannot compare to ashley She's so much older and sadly looks it
Now Emmet is dead, Rob is in jail and SHE IS FREE
BUT
So happy ashley has love again
BE HAPPY❤
No cheating relationship ends well, and no cheating spouse is worth killing for.
Wow. And what an amazing wife that he had at home.

Candy Hall is a cheater and a thief, and her husband is a murdere. She needs to be in jail. I hope her husband serves the full 30 years in jail.
Hope even at 17 years he is denied parole.
No matter how wrong, nobody deserves to die over cheating! 😡
The kandi woman was not worth it to go to jail or do get mixed up with. What a piece of trash.
Popular pharmacy in nyc
ugh… Californians ruining Idaho in so many ways.
Candy sure seems worth it.
The lack of accountability for actions… I am writing a relationship book that highlights this. No one seems to think about the repercussions before acting. I think there are some who lean more towards the fact that there are fewer tragedies such as this and more successful infidelity situations. Emotions and mental stimulation comes before rational thinking. People are unable to rationalize their actions once their emotions and mind have been stimulated. The sexual act is the result of the stimulation.
Questioning yourself hardly ever happens in situations such as this, even down to Candi and her multiple accounts of the incident. Stimulated by fear, she consistently tries to enhance her story to keep herself seen in an innocent light or to save face.
People should be aware that all of our actions will come full circle in some form. Maybe not to this outcome, but in some form.

Go's she's is so beautiful and so worth it. Poor woman. Poor rob too.
Can't blame anyone who goes crazy and starts killing ppl when they get blatantly cheated on that way.
Why would she lie? Self obsessed idiot.
Candie wanted her candy and now 2 families paid the price!
Kandi was only used to scratch a married man's itch. They're both abhorrent and disgusting. My heart is with the children and Ashley.
You are not worthless that dude was an asshole and got what he deserved! And that other old hag was a desperate pig thinking she was 16 years old looking for some kind of excitement in her empty existence of a life she had. Rob and Ashley the two spouses of the cheaters were both victims of this tragedy not to mention all their kids and families.
I remember seeing this case on dr Phil
