Controversial bodycam footage allegedly shows a Tallahassee police officer cracking open a sealed bottle of vodka, pouring half of it out, and placing it back into a suspect’s car during a traffic stop in May 2023. Calvin Riley, who was accused of drunk driving, claimed the officer framed him for DUI when she broke the seal on the bottle and poured the liquor out. Riley went to trial and was found guilty of DUI on Monday. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail. Officers testified they did not arrest him because of the alcohol bottle, but rather other signs of impairment. Law&Crime’s Sierra Gillespie breaks down the controversy surrounding Riley’s arrest.

  1. My father was a police officer and yes the lie of “I smell marijuana” is used a lot because you can’t “disprove” what the officer allegedly “smells” it’s a BS excuse for them to absolutely “DO WHAT THEY WANT” and how are you going to pour out the alcohol and then accuse the driver of DUI! She’s a lying dirty cop!

  2. Trump thinks Kirsten Oliver deserves TOTAL IMMUNITY. Get out there and vote otherwise bad cops like her get away with stuff like this and much worse. This female officer had no problem lying to save her badge.

  3. The judge needs to go to prison for this. The cop opened his bottle of liquor, poured some of it out and then used it as evidence of him drinking in the car. The judge accepted this and the lies from the cop that was proven a lair.

  4. He was found guilty of DUI, therefore the state proved that he was drunk. He sounded drunk. I hope the cop will be disciplinary reprimanded, but the man wasn't charged with open container. In Florida it's a fine and no jail for open container.

  5. If it wasn’t about the bottle and there were other signs of impairment, then why was the bottle called “evidence” during that interview? And if the bottle was evidence, then since when evidence tampering legal?

  6. Why is this even on here? They say he reeks of alcohol and you don’t even need alcohol present to drive drunk not to mention they say there’s also a mixed drink. Cops often pour out liquor so other than to stir up trouble I don’t see the point in this at all.

  7. Just another pillar of society, who had his license suspended for no reason, who was pulled over unlawfully. P.S. the cops allowed him to make a call. Even Mr Calvin admitted, on that call, that he was being arrested for multiple reasons. The cops gave him multiple opportunities to take the test. Those police didnt need to do that but also didnt need the bottle cause they already had him.
