Man Confesses to Strangling Oklahoma Teen: Cops – Everything Law and Order Blog

Bodycam footage allegedly shows a disturbed man confessing to strangling a 19-year-old in Oklahoma eight years ago. State troopers responded to a 911 call about a man sitting on the side of a highway on May 2. Joseph Tyler Beck then began voluntarily telling troopers about his involvement in the death of Jennifer Kyli Molloy, who was found dead in her apartment near the University of Central Oklahoma. While riding in the patrol car, Beck detailed how he allegedly strangled Molloy that fateful night. Law&Crime’s Sierra Gillespie breaks down the shocking confession.

  1. I went to school with him in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Stayed the night at his house on multiple occasions. Never would I have thought that someone I once called a friend could hide something so dark. I know who he is referring to when he says he has a friend who's a cop, as we were all part of the same friend group. It is very sad to see this, and it turns my stomach thinking of his dad and sister

  2. Him realizing in the moment that he confessed to his close friend who then killed himself. I don’t think he ever connected those dots before. It’s like he’s just becoming self aware.

  3. Moral of the story: Even when you do the right thing after doing something aweful for whatever reason, confess and surrender yourself people will still think you are the worst and will try to destroy you in the worst way possible without even trying to understand that perhaps the problem was genetical or biological or environental or whatever.

  4. I'm in Oklahoma, I don't know all the details of the case but I wonder how this went unsolved for so long. This state has one of the top forensic schools in the country. IDK. I just feel like they should have solved this case sooner.

  5. I don’t buy his story of “we were fooling around” and I loved her and all that. Looking at this doof, and listening to him, I find it HIGHLY unlikely that that girl would have ANY romantic interest in him. Thats probably the real reason why he did it… he couldn’t have her
