19. Anyone who has ever lived in Arizona for ANY amount of time knows two things for basic child safety. First, to lock your pool gate and second don't leave the kids in the car. Period. No EXCEPTIONS. To know this was not the first time made it egregious. I can't understand how his wife could support him still. That speaks volumes about her, as well. As a woman, as a parent, as a human being, I hope she at the very least lives with a level of guilt knowing she gave him a second, or third chance to do this to their children. She scolded him like a naughty child. But she should have taken steps to protect her child from his repeated negligence. Thank you for your compassionate commentary, as always.

20. Set an alarm? Are you kidding me?! That man didn't want to be interrupted from playing his video games when that baby woke up, so he left her outside on that car. That's grievous indifference to human life, he was more concerned with his game than his child. He shouldn't be let home, he's a danger to his other children

21. The last case had me screaming at my phone! An Oops? Are you kidding? He deliberately left his baby STRAPPED in a car, in AZ Summer heat so he could go in and play a video game unencumbered. Admittedly, he's done it before. You can't convince me the other children didn't ask about their sibling. Daddy, where's baby name here? Absolutely not. Now, if he had a lot groceries he was bringing in and he got caught up putting them away and forgot for a few minutes. OK, that is an Oops. No Sir, He knew exactly what he was doing. Edit to say, I don't think he meant for the child to die. But what he did was reckless and depraved. And, he knew better. I can't imagine the misery that baby must have suffered in those last hours.
