Aspiring actress Michelle O’Keefe was fatally shot in her car after appearing as an extra in a Kid Rock video. She was shot in a parking lot in Palmdale, California. Iraq war veteran Raymond Lee Jennings, the parking lot security guard at the time, was convicted of her murder and then set free.

This is why you always ALWAYS refuse to "be helpful" and talk to the police. All his interviews where he tried to flex his own crime-fighting prowess was all just used against him. He should have just given his statement and then refused to say anything more. Poor guy.
Ray kennings was right there while this was going on'
Just cause u were in a bank doesn't mean u robbed it, buddy
Sometimes the guilty gets to walk away
I remember seeing the Dateline on this. Knew he was innocent from that moment on. Glad he is out!
He failed the polygraph!
What does being a veteran has to do with it ? He went on to serve after the murder .
"Documented prolific liar"? No. He's a documented war veteran who fought for you and your daughter, old man. Swallow that foolish pride and redirect your focus on the gang of drug users.
Always knew he was innocent. What was done to this man was brutally horrible. I hope he gets every dime owed to him.
From the look of his face, I know that this man is innocent. The system has failed again.. unfortunately.
Ray wasn't expecting to see a murder that night! But had he ran those off THAT sat in the parking lot smoking weed, (which is what the security guard should have not allowed) the woman may be alive today.
Shame on her Father!! He is so good at blaming people. He is just blinded by his grief that he just wants an innocent man rot in jail for a crime he didnt commit. Shame on the COPS, JURORS AND JUDGE THAT FOUND HIM GUILTY. This is why people dont want to call the police when they witness a crime. SMDH
The Dad is in denial.
Could you imagine pulling in the parking spot next to that sign? Fuck that.
By the end of it I thought this woman's father would apologize to Mr Jenning's for his earlier comments and the fact that Jennings did 11 years for nothing. Instead he doubled down on his belief that Jennings killed his daughter, or had something to do with it, despite a court ruling saying otherwise. What a bitter man.
I can't imagine being accused and convicted of murdering someone when he was innocent and spending 11 years behind bars because of a mistake and being so calm and collected about it all. Ray took all of this with so much grace.
Stories like this makes people afraid to help out in these kinds of situations thinking they themselves will end up in jail.
I'm glad he's free now though!
The father didn't make a thorough investigation about the actuation of her daughter. Her daughter just came out watching a concert with friends. And the fact that she had gotten used to dressed in her car to go to school seemed wayward for me.
I hate her facial expressions
Its fucked up the father still blames an innocent man that spent 11 years behind bars missing out on his kids lifes for a crime he didnt do and of course he was there cause he patrols if he did it he wouldve never dispatched and said shots fired smh thats sick the dad is going to blame anyone because hes hurting from loosing his babygirl but hes still going to need the closure he never got smh two families that got hurt smh
If someone has been shot in the head, CPR will not work. As a former soldier, Jennings would've been trained in field first aid and he would have been taught that gunshots to the head are injuries incompatible with life because the brain has received massive trauma.
Mr O'Keefe has years of believing that the DA did his job and caught the man who killed daughter, he has been cradled in hate and rage in order to keep functioning. He's now been told that because of somebody's incompetence, the wrong person was put in prison and old wounds have reopened. It's going to take more than a few weeks and a court hearing to convince him of Mr Jennings' innocence.
The first thing I wondered is what motive would he have to kill her.
I've followed this case from the beginning and I always wondered why he was convicted. It just did not make sense. I'm glad he was released and found innocent.
This is the reason the parent will never confront the real killer due to his capacity of seeing things how they are this guy tells everything he knew and was the closes witnes. Parent don't care who isguilty. But only cares who is gona pay for it. Innocent or guilt.
