This is just disgusting. The police departments tyrannical, ego was so great that instead of letting an innocent MENTALLY CHALLENGED KID go after 16 days. They doubled down and got him convicted where he spent 9 years locked up for a crime he didn’t commit. Those detectives need to be in prison!!!!! Period.

That was a clear cohesion not a confession, a lot happened before the tapes started rolling. Also no mother would let their 14yo go unaccompanied, pure lies, lying through their teeth. His face was shown in the video to hide the fact they have beaten the kid to a pulp and making him just accepting everything
His family should have been able to give an alibi and say he was nowhere near the crime scene at the time of the murder and the fact that he only reads on a 3rd grade level. How in the hell did they convict him?

Here in Mississippi my husband has been in prison 14yrs for a crime he didn't commit. His case was handled very poorly and he didnt stand a chance in hell. The whole court room was white the judge a known racist told my husband he was going to die in prison. My husband scared not knowing what to do did what his so called lawyer told him to do which was sign a paper he didn't read and she didnt read to him either. They went off word of mouth and didnt teat him for gun power residue they basically railroaded him out of his life. We are trying to get help to get him home with his family but here being black and poor we have no luck.
