It is called tunnel vision. Cause that is what the law wants is to get some one to confess to crimes so they dont have to do any work an get to look good in the media's spot light. Police dont want to do work to catch the real person that did it as long as someone confesses to doing it. They dont care. Either way.
First off that is the way the law works they have D.N.A. on the body instead of checking the D.N.A. to see if it matches the mother, the brother, or the officer they try to force one of them to confess to doing it. If one of them confesses to it they would not even check the D.N.A. to see if it matches the officers would say it matches charge them not even testing it. An a innocent person that caved to the questioning for hours, being told they done it, an told they was getting charged for it anyway so they caved an says they did. Will spend prison time for something they did not do.
All that harassment to that cop that all he did was help. Smfh. Sick ass people have to try and blame someone
It’s like what do you have to do to get the death penalty !
I’m 2:47 seconds into this video and I feel the cop who offered to help the mother look for her daughter did it.
I was so young when this happened yet it I knew how serious it all was, my cousin Allie was a very close friend to her Jodi's Mother broke the news to her on the bus the next day. I will never forget how my cousin screamed and cried. She really never recovered from that sad to say.
As a kid I lived near a cemetery and loved playing there. Reading, riding my bike, valid place to look
It’s always and I mean always always the short little man that abuses/kills women/children look at this dork. You know this dude got the crap kicked out of him his whole life then he got a badge and then he couldn’t control himself
I’m sorry you have to have a huge ego to buy a plots of land to be buried in and what a waste of land just a complete waste of land
I feel bad for the killer’s grandson if he ever finds out grandpa wanted to use him as bait for victims. Ofc it’s not the grandson’s fault at all, but i’d still feel bad in his place
I just read Ray McCann won a lawsuit for 14.5 million. Glad he got reward for all the pain he and his family went through with the false allegations
Rest eternally Jodi. All these years later, ur family still hold it down for you & your story is a cautionary tale thats helped many and brought tears to all with an ounce of a heart
How can she be so calm?? In shock…?!. Some might say…. NAH !!!!!! NO!! Heartbreaking 💔❤ I think its the mother and brother together. Thats my feeling… Maybe I am wrong.. But…. 💔💔❤️
I dont have any kids. I am 39.. But my human instinct tells me that I whould have been absolutely heartbroken to see my child dead at the cementary.. 🥺😓 I am sorry… But this mother dont strike me as sad. Horrible. 😢❤💔 Love from 🇧🇻
I went to elementary school with her. We used to ride the bus together as well. I remember my parents announcing her death. It took approximately 7 years to finally find the sick man that did this to her. She was always so nice to me when we were kids. She would be 27 now is she were still alive. Darren was in my sister's class. I feel so sorry for her family. Darren was also nice from what I remember.
Michigan is one state that you can't sue if you're found guilty & jailed. Even if you spent 40 years innocently in prison.
I hope ray sues the pants off that police department
Just lazy detective work. They didn’t even try to do their jobs.
We usually want go help the elderly, this old man has completely changed my view on old men! Unbelievable! That small girl is so brave! Imagine going through such a horrifying experience when you are just 10! What do these monsters get by abusing kids! My blood boils when i see such stories! 😡😡
Cemetery obviously a place to search. Obviously one of the places one would think to search. I would also suggest it and hope others go there first.
I pray for this man, a true policeman.
So let me get this straight. Ray was a coach and Furlong was a part time volunteer umpire for girls softball the next town over and thats proof they should have known each other?
I’ve lived in Michigan for most of my life. Grew up in Detroit so don’t have a ton of experience with smaller communities. However, I have some. Even before this case I was always leery of small town Michigan. First off, they all seem to have drug issues and many have high crime. Many towns in Michigan have much higher crime rates than comparable communities nationally. They all seemed over policed as well. I’ve heard many, many stories of departments ruling with an iron fist. Keeping people in fear and pitting people against each other. If you’re in with them it’s all good, but if they don’t like you they can make life miserable. The state needs to do a lot of clean up as far as I’m concerned. It’s not a lifestyle I’d recommend. It sucks to slowly lose respect for your state as you age, but it’s the reality. It’s a corrupt, petty craphole.
He didn’t lie. They would tell him lies, so he would change his story because he was confused and then they would say he’s lying. They were just messing with him and covering their ass. He told the police he never touched Jodi (which he didn’t) and they lied to him and said his DNA was “all over her”. He would then say, “well, maybe I touched her mom after she held Jodi”. Then they would tell the mom, “he said you hugged him and that’s why her DNA is on him”. “What, I never hugged him”. It was BS like that why they still accuse him of “lying” or being “inconsistent”. Personally, I think Ray is naive and not terribly bright to be honest and they used that against him. This is why you never, ever talk to police.
This may be some of the worst investigators I’ve ever heard of in True Crime history. And the Mom is hard to feel sorry for in this case. Not gonna lie, but I don’t like her. Raymond probably got his facts wrong because the interrogators were badgering the hell out him, during the interview. This guy deserves an apology and should be compensated millions of dollars!
He won 14.5 million. If I were him, I’d go back to that town with that money and be as obnoxious about it as possible. I’d take out a huge billboard, just calling out the whole town for the way I was treated .
Raymond McCann won 14.5million in a wrongful conviction case in September 2023. I'm so happy he finally got justice and AN APOLOGY from Jodi's mum.
Seems the mother knows more than she is saying. It's in her eyes!!! People on drugs do horrible things, even pimp their kids
I find it odd she doesn’t care or isn’t mad at the guy who killed her own kid but yet she’s mad at someone who has no hard evidence of involvement.. hmmm I wonder if she paid that guy to kill her daughter
That poor police officer. I wonder how he's doing today? That was a terrible Injustice that happened to him 😞
I hope Raymound sues the living life out of these incompetent officers and the mother as well!! This was a total CLOWN SHOW!! They should be ashamed of themselves!! How disgusting!! Absolutely no evidence…but always had the DNA of the real killer?? This makes no sense!! I would be PIIIIIISSEEEDDDDD OOOOOFFFF!!!
I think the guy that they thought it was at first was searching for her and found her in the cemetery and got scared to say something because he didn't want to be accused of the murder so he just hinted to everyone else so that he wasn't alone with her dead body.
I understand the mother thinking that the other guy knows something or had something to do with it because when my brother was murdered in 2005 my mother thought everyone was guilty or had something to do with him being killed especially when at first it's not known who did it and his homicide is still unsolved, but for my own sanity I had to just forgive the people who killed him within my own heart and that helped me move forward and helped me to grieve properly instead of living with malice in my heart. Forgiveness really works, I'm proof that it does because the two people who's names have been said to have done it from the beginning by multiple people including their own family members I can now see them and not want to harm them in no way at all,but at first anybody and everybody was guilty.
The little girl that escaped is totally a bad ass.Hats off to her.
