35. I appreciate your assessment of the Albert the alligator saga. I live in Western New York not far from Hamburg, and I think Tony got caught up in some bureaucratic nonsense here. This isn't someone who was secretly keeping a pet alligator. Tony had obtained permission to have this animal and was trying to renew the permit with revised requirements. If the state had issues with Albert's enclosure or physical condition, the owner should have had an opportunity to correct the issues or refute them before his animal was seized and relocated hundreds of miles away. There's something disconcerting about how this went down.
