I listened to him frequently then and in the late '70s I got to know him personally when I went to work at the station he was on at the time. After a job at a new, highly-promoted station fell through as the station failed in 1980, he moved away. We were occasionally in touch over the subsequent years but I hadn't heard from him for some time when I read of his death in the newspaper.     A friend of mine took me over to his place in Denver…he was so gracious and so friendly. Steven had a really cool picture of Jeff Beck on his wall. Jeff was a good friend of the Denver dj.
