Twenty-one-year-old Layla Santanello was last seen barefoot at an ice cream parlor in Kingsport, Tennessee in June. Since then, there have been almost zero clues as to what happened to her or where she might have gone. The Law&Crime Network’s Jesse Weber speaks with the woman’s mother, Jennifer Santanello, about the desperate search for answers.

  1. Everything says drugs, prostitution, bad pimp and parents that care about their needs before their children. Obviously you need to let them grow up and learn but there’s something missing

  2. Thats weird he messeges from Facebook then she sends messages why couldn't she call you .thats not her messaging you need to go to her boyfriend house .

  3. Call your mom .if shes out there this is riping her moms heart out .i have done this to my mom and i was wrong but of course i had a reason but this very scary for a parent

  4. The fact she has been known to take off for 3 days .She seen hiding in the shadows.Hanging in homeless areas staying in motels sleeping here and there…….meth.
Its got her hanging with ppl she normally wouldnt.Mwth mskes a person paranoid and very obvious to others on how scared their behavior is.

  5. Wow its about time shame on this state For waiting so long i been following this mom on tictoc her cries begging went un heard un answered what changed? She was out there putting ip flyers making tictoc and fbk videos the cops missed so much evidence that they could have maybe done something with the one messaged her mom saying give me a ransom for her thats were i would start and the last guy she left with i hope this mother finds her daughter no matter what the out come is

  6. I’m not being disrespectful but it seems like there were some family issues. It doesn’t seem like laylas family was close. It’s just very strange that a parent would be so out of touch with her child who just had a baby, especially if she’s with a man that the mom is not confident about. You’d think she would have been in contact with her more often. This entire story is so sketchy. If Layla had a falling out with her boyfriend and she had a good foundation with her family, she would have reconnected with them for support instead of wandering around, not adding up. Another thing, when my kids are away with friends I always insist on a call not a text. I want to hear their voice and I have a code question I ask to make sure they are safe. Sounds crazy but my own mothers paranoia, prevented me from being in bad situations on more than one accession when I was younger.

  7. Her mom is so sweet😢I hope her daughter if okay&well, jowever,if it turns out that Layla is just on a drug binge or something will be SO upsetting 😡

  8. This is so sad! This poor little girl!! I really hope she comes home!! I'm curious about the boyfriend. She said he's working with police though so who knows! But a lot of times a toxic relationship is worse then what ppl on the outside sees! Maybe she met someone online and thought they were going to save her and give her a better life. That's scary bc you can't trust ppl online! I've watched too many crime stories and it scares me!

  9. I feel that there is so much more everyone could’ve done / could be doing to help her. find this girl. people don’t just vanish out of thin air.

  10. She didn't call because she didn't have a phone. She told mom that. Unfortunately it's most likely it was her boyfriend she was hiding from/avoiding. It's sad, but this isn't going to turn out well. Mothers don't stay away from their children without any history of doing this in the past. Hopefully mom gets the answers she needs.
