Missing man presumed eaten by alligators killed by best friend who had affair with his wife – Everything Law and Order Blog

In this episode of Crime Watch Daily Updates: The case of Mike Williams, a successful real estate agent who lived in Tallahassee, Florida, and loved his family. In December 2020, he left his home to go duck hunting and promised his wife, Denise Williams, he would be home to celebrate their anniversary — but he never came back.

Florida Fish and Wildlife investigators thought Mike had been eaten by an alligator, but neither bones nor flesh appeared in the water. Plus, alligators supposedly don’t eat in cold water.

Denise took out a hefty life insurance policy on her husband just months before he went missing, and her secret boyfriend, Brian Winchester, signed the paperwork. Winchester and Denise even got married in 2005 but they split up in 2012. He supposedly kidnapped her at gunpoint August 5, 2016, and was arrested. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison for armed kidnapping in a plea deal.

In December 2017, 17 years after he went missing, Mike Williams’ remains were found over 50 miles away from where investigators initially searched. He had been shot, killed, and buried under a pile of mud. In May 2018, Denise Williams was arrested and charged with murder. She was convicted in February 2019 and sentenced to life in prison plus 30 years for conspiracy. In 2021, however, an appeals court overturned her murder conviction, and she was resentenced to 30 years in prison.

Let’s take a look back at the head-spinning case of a man who was feared to have been eaten by alligators, but was really the victim of his wife’s lover.

  1. You dont need an enemy if you had a wife and a friend like them.

BUT nothing can bother you if your mom was still alive. She will fight for your justice. SALUTE TO ALL MOMS.

  2. How horrible! Poor guy. He didn’t want that to happen.

This is a love triangle of success in murder and it finally crumbled down when Denise and Brian were arrested. Although it fell into pieces slowly when Brian was arrested first six years ago. As for Denise, who was arrested about a year later, she was finally out of luck when the remains were found.

  3. This story could have been the basis of a film noire. The jacket, waders and driving license were probably put in the water at a later point to make it seem more likely that Mike had drowned. Denise was very dramatic about her reaction to Brian's abduction.

  4. I am so sorry, but you are wrong. Mike's mum was relentless in her fight against this truly evil woman her ex-dauther-in-law, but the police were deaf till they (Denice and Brian,) the evil couple from hell put themselves in prison by testifying against each other.
