What’s unfortunate about this is that for those who genuinely do have children with chronic illness, medical treatment becomes harder to access because parents aren’t always believed. As an individual with multiple chronic conditions, it is already hard enough as an adult to be taken seriously by health professionals.

My child is fatally ill. He has HLHS with ISD and pulmonary artery disease. Waiting on a heart lung transplant which will most likely never come in time and isn’t guaranteed to help. I’ve never asked for handouts or sympathy of strangers. Sure I vent to family and friends from time to time but even that is rare. This is infuriating to me.

As an RN who has worked in the pediatric ICU and with pediatric hospice patients and seen sick children suffering everyday, the behavior of this woman is so infuriating. The social media posts and the way she used her child as a prop for her own gain is disgusting. Huge props to the school and everyone involved in exposing this woman.
