  1. I hate it when people use being under the influence of something they willingly take to try to lessen their punishment for crimes they also willingly commit. If anything it should be a harsher penalty. I mean people who drive under the influence are charged with a crime, then that should apply if they are under the influence of committing other crimes instead of using a diminished responsibility defense. Diminished responsibility should only be applied if the person was drugged without their consent and knowledge and they end up doing something illegal because of it.
