A man called 911 and claimed a woman suffered from an overdose at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. When police arrived, paramedics rushed Larissa Garcia to the emergency room and determined she had no substances in her blood. Doctors suspected Garcia had been a victim of battery and strangulation. The mother of two was declared brain dead and passed away one week after the assault. Detectives soon uncovered who’s name was on the room Garcia came out of — Army veteran Jason Kendall.
