  1. A wonderful and informative episode!
Josh, you get more comfortable every podcast I see and your guest tonight presented such interesting perspectives on these particular cases!
It is sad that parents have to be held criminally negligent, but at the same time, if it prevents one more person from being shot or killed because of irresponsible parenting, then it will be well worth it. When common sense fails, a stronger message to parents must be sent. You simply cannot give a weapon to your child, who is exhibiting troubling behaviour and signs of mental instability and illness. That is simply unacceptable for the sake of everyone else that they go to school with, etc.

  2. He snapped! Are you effing kidding me? Money trouble? He has been wreaking havoc for decades. Talk about giving privileged people the widest berth possible despite obviously heinous behavior. He has destroyed people's lives with his corruption, and there would have been no recourse because of his legal power. Worst take ever hosts.

  3. This WAS an intriguing and enlightening discussion, loved the mixture or minds and perspectives as well as the bright and beautiful female attorney. She was awesome and added ALOT to the convos abt these crimes I’ve yet to hear anywhere else- poignant and relevant discourse, which is incredibly appreciated in this day and age of “the stupider= the better”. I also appreciate the diversity between commentators and story subjects on this channel.

Thanks a lot for the high quality & engaging content. I’m a big fan of the channel!

  4. No one even thinks to consider blaming the insurance policy, or the policy makers in bed with the insurance companies (also responsible for the opioid crisis) for these deaths. When in reality if there's no insurance policy, how many of the Murdoch family is still alive to weigh in?

  5. He shot his wife then shot his son because the drama he caused was fighting over and it was maby he shot his wife and or son first and got caught so had to kill them both because he had to cover his tracks because it was easier then trying to convince the one not to talk because he is using his son prior issues as an actual now attempt of his life so this is him saying see they shit my family now still after me. He is a deep thinker and an addiction with money and law issues because his son mad him look bad so now he get no son issues no wife issues and an alibi with an attempt at his life to show it wasn't him and a life insurance he can collect and no jail time…

  6. What happens when your kid is in a gang and gets caught killing? Are parents going to be held accountable for this also?? Look at inner-city troubles. Detroit, LA,NEW YORK. Lots of mothers going to go to jail because they help their kids hide?

  7. Amber Heard is a narrsesst. She is not going to let anyone say no to her thats why she cant let it be. Jhonny finialy had enough and it is time for Will Smith to do the same. By the way i am a female and i reconize this type of behavior. Sadly this has become a cronic problem for woman today. They have this attituded that the world revolves around them.

  8. Did this lady really just refer to someone with a mental illness as a "nut job"… WOW She wasn't referring to the person they were talking about when she said it! It was a generalization!! She is disgusting.

  9. No we’re not trying to assign blame to all parents whose children are involved in mass shootings. We want to hold parents accountable when they give access of that weapon to their child who is mentally unstable and unwell. The buck stops with them. In both cases there were roadblocks in place to prevent the person from getting a fire arm and the parents helped them gain access to the weapon. Knowing that their child was unwell.

  10. Re: the last case. I can’t agree more! I'm also pro 2nd amendment. As a mom of 4, 3 of whom are adult children, I’ll say, I couldn’t wait for them to turn 18! Let's not go down the slippery slope of setting new precedence charging culpability to parents of adult children. Please, please 🙏
I'll add, I as a God fearing, red blooded American, I would NEVER tolerate what either of these sets of parents tolerated!

  11. You said Amber needs to contact Johnny in private (not publicly)to apologize, put this behind them and go on with their lives, that’s what “HE” wanted in the beginning but not her and also y’all are saying that parents/guardians that approved a person to be mentally stable for gun permit should not be held accountable for end results like this,I disagree because how quick would you be to co-signed a $250.000 home loan for someone knowing if they decide not to pay it automatically falls on you the co-signer to pay???

  12. I'm an Irish teacher. Do you Americans realise how insane your gun laws or lack thereof, seem to the rest of the civilised world? I have never seen a handgun other than on American cops. And this next generation of school kids are going to grow up terrified, angry and confused and there will be a lot more Crimos and Crumbleys.

  13. I am disgusted with this woman who called herself an attorney and doesn't know a thing about Casey White's previous case or the circumstances involved with his case to make the prejudiced statement, "he should have stayed where he was," doesn't this stupid woman know even an animal would try to break out from a cage? I feel sorry for anyone hiring her as an attorney; having her as an attorney is like having 2 prosecutors against you!

  14. A. H. We know is a liar no person who has been abused Has yelled at their abuser they're a Baby grow up Johnny she would have been smacked to the ground and beaten to an inch of her death from a person who is an abuser you would hide in a corner and say yes sir. I know women who have been abused where scars beyond not dresses that show their back side that Are so expensive and go to lavish parties with their abuser you would be trying to get away. Sorry sorry this is not This is the travesty of Justice to us women Who fear the person that they are being abused from.. I never want to see anything Amber heard has ever done she didn't lose a thing. I lost everything I own everything even my home to run over a 1000 miles away from the abuser. Amber heard is a joke. That's my story .

  15. RE: The Alex Murdaugh case. I live in SC. Alex didn't snap. He used a bank exec and another lawyer-friend to scam his clients out of their insurance money for years and when his drunken son, Paul, killed a girl in a boating accident, the parents sued. And when the parents sued, his finances had to be disclosed. His wife, Maggie, was separating from him. Maggie was the sole owner of their Moselle hunting property. Her will stipulated that Alex got everything if she died. If she was out of the picture Alex got the property. If Paul was out of the picture, the lawsuit goes away.

  16. We must be careful in our grief that we do not make rash decisions to find someone responsible. It is a slippery slope.
We must balance our need for justice with our need to cover up and look the other way.

  17. Nobody should ever be charged for a murder if they didn't LITERALLY murder someone. I don't care the circumstances. It defies the very definition, and we have enough ridiculous laws building and building each year as it is. It muddies the waters for suicide cases, where people are now placing blame upon the deceased's often equally mentally ill partners.
Via freedom of speech, I believe that you should be allowed to literally tell someone to kill their self and you should not face ANY charges. That is a personal decision, and not one anyone else is physically possible of making. Speculating on what pushed them over the edge would be just that, speculation. There should be no room for speculation when it comes to locking people up for the rest of their lives.
This could easily turn many teenage relationship tragedies into a messy breakup that lead to someone being charged with a "murder" that they did not do by their hand, but instead were blamed for, for their words.

  18. Parental liability… I feel that we should at least try to see if this law makes a difference. I feel it might actually make parents BE PARENTS!!! I get the feeling that the majority of the people think that all parents are good parents. THEY AREN'T!!!!! The majority of parents aren't properly parenting and that's a part of why this country is in so much turmoil. From my observances, I have noticed that most parents do their own thing. Leaving the kids to another to raise, i.e. nannies, extended stays at grandma and grandpa's or auntie's or even leaving the kids to fend for themselves. I personally know a man who's mother left him and his brother when they were only 3 and 5, to fend for themselves. Parent's these days are too self absorbed into their own lives and seeking that allmighty money, that they pretty much ignore the kids and only pretend to parent when the mood strikes them. Most are out either working too long and spending too many hours away from their kids; out partying or looking for that fix; drinking alcohol all day and night and not giving two hoots about the kids; too into themselves and how they look and ignoring the kids and/or teaching them to be fake and unrealistic also, and so so much more bad parenting going on. I BELIEVE WE NEED MANDATORY PARENTING CLASSES FOR ALL PARENTS AND THOSE ABOUT TO BECOME PARENTS. FOR EVERY BIRTH, ADOPTION OR FOSTERING OF A CHILD!!!!!! EVEN IF YOU HAVE HAD THE CLASS 3 TIMES. IF YOU ARE EXPECTING AGAIN, YOU WILL TAKE THE CLASS AGAIN OR FORFEIT THE CHILDREN. DRASTIC TIMES CALL FOR DRASTIC MEASURES!!!!! We also need to put a cap on how many kids people can have!!! WE ARE OVER POPULATED THANKS TO YOU FREAKIN' HORNDOGGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRR Over population is a huge problem and why we are having such issues around the world!!!!!!

  19. I've really been enjoying your podcasts. I liked her as a guest, she brought up valid points based on the law and the constitution and not her feelings and emotions. Really refreshing.

  20. Completely agree. She killed herself for her own reasons – too embarrassed to be caught, and absolutely NOTHING to go back to – not to mention she would know how a prison guard would be treated in prison. She had nothing left. It was do or die.

  21. I live in Michigan. I have watched some of the hearings on the crumbleys parents and they were too busy with their affaires, the mom on horse training and then them both trying to make their baby boy happy but ignoring all the signs of mental health issues. Plus they were just at the police station that morning. It’s ridiculous and I do believe they are responsible for failing their son and not getting him the help he needed. And buying a teen a gun is complete stupidity.
