A New Jersey man was shot and killed inside his home in April after allegedly rushing at police officers while armed with a knife. The Old Bridge Police Department said officers were called to the home over a domestic dispute involving threats between 26-year-old Luke Mendez and his family. There are too many laws protecting criminals. First officers are sent out on their own to face such deadly situations. Do they or don't they have a choice to defend themselves ? As a society we need to reward honest officers or soon we may not be left with any.
