When I was younger, my step-father took in his son's (my step-brother) best friend when the friends' father went to prison for ending the life of his mother. I think it was a foster kid type situation, not an actual adoption. Still though, that's an awesome act of kindness.
How anyone can birth a child and then treat them this way or let them live in these kinds of conditions is BEYOND me. I could never in a milllion years even imagine doing this to my children or ANY CHILD. No kid deserves this, every kid deserves this officer. What an amazing man.
