In this week’s True Crime Daily Podcast: A Florida woman who went missing in September is found dead in a canal, and police say the suspect has confessed to her murder (45:43). Last year, the suspect was released from prison after serving 25 years of a 40-year sentence — and that’s the second time he got out of prison early. The woman’s family is furious and is demanding answers.
Plus, Robert Durst (3:24), convicted in September of the 2000 murder of Susan Berman in Los Angeles, has been sentenced to life in prison without parole. The 78-year-old Durst is currently hospitalized with COVID, and there’s more potential legal trouble for him in New York.

i love the solemnity with a splash of the sass; y'all compliment each other quite nicely and thank you for this episode. very good listening.
I would like to know how Alison morally & ethicially personally justifies representing known GUILTY persons !!!!!!!!! other than for the PAYMENT !!!!!!!!!
Robert Durst died 10th Jan 2022 in Jail and went to HELL !!!!!!!
I can never understand why defense attorneys what to keep murderers out of jail. How do they sleep at night?
🥰😎CRIME WATCH DAILY🥰😎 I have a suggestion, I hope as your listener and your subscriber. YOU WILL TAKE THIS COMMENT and consider it. I have bad eyes and the bigger screens, writing ect is. It is better and crucial foe me to be more comfortable. I WOULD appreciate if you you COULD consider making THE SCREEN BIGGER 😏😏🥰🥰 IT WOULD HELP ME SO MUCH MORE. I would want to watch it more often other than other channels with that option. Thank you😍😍 U BE MY STAR😎😎😎
Please stop spending first minute kissing your guests and vice versa. We watch cause we want you to gét to story investigation. .
I thank both of you ladies for doing such a great job at explaining things to the audience. 🙏
This guest, Alison and your Nancy Grace episode are my favorites. Soo professional. (Some of the female guests you have the conversation gets a little too goofy.)
By the way Nancy Grace behaved well with you. Love her and her passion but she interupts a lot. She did well until half way through but have to give you credit for your patience and getting her that far.
Two things about Robert Durst:
I think the authorities should go back to the house in NY and search it based on what Robert's recording "Well, I don’t know what you expected to get. But…the rest of [unintelligible] I don’t know what’s in the house. Oh, I want this." They may not find DNA evidence, but they may find her body.
The family may agree to let Robert out of prison to die in a rest home if he tells them where the body of Kathleen McCormack/Katie Durst.
Yesss we love this podcast…it does bring many criminal cases/ headlines yo life ..gives us better UNDERSTANDING..
THANK U FOR ALL YOU DO!
He dies so his charge ended up void. All that theatrical BS the DA John Lewin put on was for nothing!!
Please, keep her coming on, you bounce off each other so we’ll.
I remember this case, there was even a similar episode about it on the original Law & Order. The guy who played him was really good too.
Glad they got him.
Durst was caught by stealing a sandwich!!! Lol Karma
Karma is a bitch and the Grim Reaper came to collect.
THE LAW IS LAWLESS. MANY OF THE LAW ARE JUST AS EVIL.
Durst flew over the ocean with his wife's body and tossed it out.
If you’re going to commit a heinous crime, do it in America. Criminals have more rights than victims.
I really wish you wouldn't use the lords name in vain.
In that second murder case I won’t be surprised if that guy doesn’t mind prison. He probably looks at it as an even exchange, serves a little time, gets taken care of by the state and then gets out to do what he loves, brutalize women. And the state is complicit.
The police officer who stopped him should have searched his car. This is so sad
Yes curfew
Why was he allowed to roam the streets freely after killing previously? What about probation/monitoring his movements.
That song money talks is so true. The amount of crimes the rich get away with when they have money, dirty cash
Davie FL is a horrible racist back asswards town, I know that because I had family that lives there and I was teased for being a New Yorker and a person of any color and so was my sister , we're Sicilian and mixed race, when we lived with our Aunt for a year we endured "the Davie boys" who were a very white racist group and if you aren't a hundred percent white there, at least back then, your treated like dirt. Nothing like Brooklyn NY where we were friends with everyone and I know people think New Yorkers can be cold but it's not true, our neighborhood was nothing but heart and everyone looked out for everyone else!!! This is my opinion based on how it was in both places o er twenty years ago, hopefully it's changed but I don't ever visit because it was awful
Ppl get more time for property theft. I give up. Society needs to MAKE the government change the entire "justice" system. The entire true crime community needs to riot or some shit (not violently of course, but angrily). We all know it's broken, even those involved in it. When is something going to be done?
I love ana n Allison's chemistry awesome team. Allison Lewis and Judy are my favorites
Seems like the best friend reaped what she sowed 🤔
All states should have a ‘dangerous offender’ status that can be applied to people who WILL commit again. It overrides sentence length. This monster should never get let out.
I know this is late and I really love your podcast Ana and enjoy most of your guests. This guest is very knowledgeable I just wish she wouldn't step on your words all the time. Thank you for what you do!
This was an excellent video of excellent cases. I definitely learned things I wasn't aware of in the Durst cases. One being there were more murders than I thought.
If he dismembered his neighbour & delayed several days to report his wife missing…chances are,he disposed of her the way he did his neighbour-except he succeeded the first time in destroying everything
Nobody will grieve Durst
I love your show! Not a freak or stalker but I love your voice! You calm me!
I think Durst was a serial killer & has many more bodies on his hands, pure evil pos!!!
21:20 Using Jesus' name in place of a vulgar curse word is like a knife to the heart. Just horrible.
"He LITERALLY dug his own grave, when he walked into the bathroom that day." 20:00
Sure, he LITERALLY did. English matters.
Thanks for all you two do
Love Ana and alison
I wish I had a friends like you two. I was making little sarcastic comments at certain points during this episode and literally 3 seconds later, one of you is saying the same thing lol. Anyways, thank you both for your effort!
lzzzzszzzzsN
I have zero criminal interests and I am single .I mean seriously are men dating women who are multiple murderous people.Even the night stalker had a wife .
Aww the dog was like somebody said dog it’s my cue!
It's a serious waste of a ventilator, giving one to Durst. WTH's up with those medical ppl, anyway??? (Bec I know they also never hv enough ventilators, & it's good ppl who deserve one.) Damn good thing I'm not on his medical team, honestly.
Ana I’ve been on a binge of your podcasts and Alison might be your best guest. She’s excellent and gives amazing insight. You two make a great team!
