But after trying to sell the yacht to a strange individual asking for a trial run on the water, the two disappeared. What happened to this happy couple? Once met someone who I think was going to do me harm selling my car. I had a bad feeling when I saw the guy he had face tattoos kind you get in Prison meeting them at a Circle K I told him when I got there to follow me which I was going to local police department parking lot where they have a space for that sort of thing. As soon as they saw I was turning toward the police department they gunned it took off. I went in and told the police about it they took down the guys information I had incase something happened later they never tried to contact me again. I sold the car a week later. I would never go out to sea on a boat alone with all these people not any backup.

This story is horrific. I remember reading the book about this like 13 or 14 years ago and it still haunts me. All the people involved in scamming and murdering this couple are the worst scum on the planet.

WTF? I am getting tired of hearing about these deaths. It makes absolutely NO fucking sense. Why do people want things they CANNOT afford??? That is absolutely BULLSHIT! The Hawkses bought that expensive yacht, so why not just save the money for it. Instead of killing someone??? I hope it haunts them every single day…morning and night!!! I haven’t seen the remaining parts of this story yet but I have to say if somebody I don’t know or know of offers to pay me $435,000 in cold hard cash I’m going assume it’s contraband money and wouldn’t touch it with a mile long pole. I don’t care how “cute” your family is. Sounds to me that was THE red flag for which they missed their cue to avoid what I’m assuming was a fatal mistake.

Google google google!! If it sounds too good to be true it isn't. And greed wins out in the end! There is a REASON you pay a commission to sell high end items!!! They check people out, they prequalify, and they deal with the buyers!! Would you perform surgery on yourself nooo! Don't think it's so easy to sell a Yacht or a house for that matter. I was a Realtor for 10 years, I earned that commission believe me!
Dateline or 48Hours did an episode on this. How the couple died gave me nightmares as it wasn't quick.
