I remember this story from 20 years ago. It was in my local area. I still think she swerved to miss an animal or something in the road and went off the side into a ravine and fell into a location covered by trees and brush, and that's why nobody has been able to find her. I think she's been just out of the area of where searchers had been looking for her.
The co-worker who told police Audrey was driving "right behind her when she left the parking lot" for "about 5 minutes" before they "took different paths" has now admitted she was MAKING IT ALL UP. ……….. that certainly didn't help the initial investigation.
