Thomas Brown had everything going for him: he was senior class president of his high school, well liked, and he even earned 2 state titles playing football. Then. one night, he vanished. On Jan. 26, the Hemphill County Sheriff requested the Texas Attorney General’s Office take over the investigation due to public dissatisfaction about the case. What happened to him? Crime Watch Daily’s Melissa McCarty investigates.

Most incompetent Looney Tunes sheriff. He knows he fumbled this case and is trying so hard to cover up his mistake.
5. The Sherrif Nathan knows more than what he has revealed. He has knowingly obstructed justice. The deputy also no longer serving and protecting that community also knows something. They were corrupt. The fact that the sheriff had a prior run-in with the victim and subsequently abused his power on Thomas and got called out for it; raises the possibility of a revenge crime. What bothers me was the Sherrif's statement that Tom was queer. Which reveals that a hate crime had been committed and that there was more than one person involved. The sheriff and his team on purpose spoiled the crime scene and falsified documents. No fingerprints, tire tracks, or DNA were preserved. They even missed the 9mm casing. Instead, their story of a runaway became their excuse and science that broke basic protocol wiping away crucial evidence. They lied and they discredited others who had the truth. Looks identical to today's government in power. Was it possible somebody else who wanted it to look like a suicide searched the website? Thomas was most probably killed where he was found and the shell casing was picked up by the shooter who then drove his vehicle to the place where it was dropped off. It was never checked for fingerprints because there should not have been any. Was the casing forensically checked? The sheriff recovered the vehicle from the family for suspicious reasons to make sure no fingerprints were left behind. He probably first has been beaten for being queer and then shot. Someone will be arrested for the murder. Kudus for his mother who continues to seek justice. She will find it.
Sounds like this waxk ass sheriff is trying to cover some shit up
They should have done a backround check on all students or people that knew or worked there. like family members or something]
What the hell is wrong with that sheriff why is he hiding everything he’s acting like he had something too do with it that sheriff is real shady
Typical worthless right wing nut (the sheriff), always making everything political and all about protecting their political agendas. Those scum are never for we the people.
that sheriff is guilty as fuckk
Almost all of you are sharing information that is incorrect!!!
The sheriff was definitely not being honest and had something to do with this
Some sketchy stuff going on with that sheriff!!
That sherif is fucking sus Thomas was found dead after all
"There's so much happening" says the sheriff. Seriously, this guy is hiding a ton and lying through his ginger beard. With all the mistakes, he has probably botched the investigation and they'll never be able to provide the evidence to prosecute the case, even if they know who did it, and he might be an interested party as well, not willing to give any info as he is.
Was Thomas Brown gay, and if so, was that related to his death? Was his friend's father involved, the one who later killed himself? Was Thomas Brown killed accidentally by kids shooting guns? Why did Thomas Brown do a Google search on suicide that night? What's the deal with Chris Jones, Kyler Koch, and Sheriff Lewis's alleged gambling ring, together with games being thrown? Different pieces of evidence lead in wildly different directions simultaneously. It is important to remember that "evidence" and "proof" have very different meanings.
The sheriff wears his hat indoors?
Either he did it or he knows who’s exactly did it 😁 for sure .. he’s so suspicious
Sheriff is SUS!!!!!!
That Sherrif is as quilty as can come. He needs to be fired and investigated!!!
He’s wearing a cowboy hat man … do you think he’s really gonna find anything?
Sheriff is 100 covering his ass from a negligent investigation.
Someone who is suicidal does not stop to fill up with gas. Poor kid. RIP Thomas.

Shady sheriff
I usually get great vibes from gingers but that sheriff don’t sit right with me
They will probably never get closure that’s sad
That sherif is a dummy . He was up to something
Most cops want it a open case . They want help from the public because they want to do the best they can . This guy is too worried about himself being a rookie 🙄
He looks like he is smirking at some points too .
As a Canadian I got confused for a bit 😬
That cop is crooked as fuck, I feel it
Rip Thomas x
The sheriff does come off a lil suspect in my opinion but who knows..
Small town Sheriffs like to drink more than work.
When asked someone knows something he face tellls everything he knows ….
With a town just over 2,000 residents, someone knows something. That is the cliched "nothing to do in a small town like this." Someone has to know something, whoever they are is just scared to death to come forward.
Could the sheriff be involved in the crime? Accomplishment report for a newbie
as of today (september 3, 2021), they don’t think he committed suicide. Philip Klein gave an update, saying “I would be willing to risk my reputation on this. Tom Brown did not commit suicide. He didn’t do it. It’s impossible, there is no way in the timeline for him to do it,” and “The evidence that we found clearly indicts that he did not kill himself. This is silliness. This has to stop.” hopefully the family gets justice soon 🙏❤️
UPDATE remains of Thomas found =( ..that was in 2020 i'm having trouble finding past then & need to start getting ready for work..also it was PRIVATE investigator hired by the family, & he had dogs signal to smell of dead human scent in his car ; along with blood that was cleaned off of door ..will update if i find more !
Smells like a cover up in a small town
They shouldn't re-elect that Sheriff.
Y’all need a new experienced sheriff bc he doesn’t know what he’s doing smh
