  1. I knew of a case in Texas…a special needs boy was born to a very beautiful, vivacious mother… she loved nice things, fashion, money and status. This lady was in our special needs parents group..she made quite a show of everything connected with her child. She constantly took him to the ER and other doctors. We felt he embarrassed her, so she was overcompensating. He wasn't terribly involved, medically, just slow and awkward.

They had a boat and would take him and their other (typical) children on excursions during the summer. When he was about 7, he went on such a trip, but on a turn at some speed, fell off the boat and was drowned before they could stop and rescue him. Of course, he could not swim.

Her grief was showy, and she never even chipped a nail or failed to wear the latest fashion or shed a tear when telling us other parents about the incident. It was officially ruled an accident.

There were several of us special needs mothers who thought not.

There are many kinds of mental illnesses in the world. Special needs children add a lot of pressure to families.

The sad fact about the boy in this video, is that without his mother's criminal interference, he might have grown up healthy and strong. 🎉

  2. "Scaphism (from Greek σκάφη, meaning "boat"),[1] also known as the boats, is reported by Plutarch in his Life of Artaxerxes as an ancient Persian method of execution. He describes the victim being trapped between two small boats, one inverted on top of the other, with limbs and head sticking out, feeding them and smearing them with milk and honey, and allowing them to fester and be devoured by insects and other vermin over time. Plutarch's report originates from a source considered dubious."
