There's some really interesting stuff out there examining his psychology. Apart from his job which was very different, his actual crimes and psychology were fairly standard for murderous sex offenders. He appears to have had a lot of the traits of OCPD (not the same thing as OCD) and a lot of narcissism. He seems to have had an isolated, unhappy childhood and his sexuality never developed properly – it retreated into a fantasy world that became more and more extreme. His mother left the family when he was young and he seems to have carried the rage against all women. Wearing women's underwear is also relatively common in such offenders – men like that also tend to gravitate into hyper masculine jobs (like the military) to hyper compensate.
Say what you will, but Russell Williams looks hott in bra and panties. So much so that I'm trying to get my wife to grow out chest hair and let me call her 'Colonel' in bed. She's not thrilled about it.
