in this episode of Crime Watch Daily Updates: Elizabeth Salgado was a 26-year-old with a bright smile and big dreams. She moved to Provo, Utah, from Mexico, to learn English, but only a few weeks after her arrival, her life came to an untimely end.

Elizabeth was last seen alive April 16, 2015, leaving her class at the Nomen Global Language Center. Countless people searched all over the area for Elizabeth, but she was nowhere to be found.

Then, three years later, on May 24, 2018, a man in Hobble Creek Canyon called law enforcement officials to report he found what looked like human remains. Deputies from the Utah County Sheriff’s Office went to the scene and found a skull and clothing items. The remains were taken to the Medical Examiner’s office and positively identified as Elizabeth.

Although her remains were found, investigators are still looking into who killed her, and her family continues to wait for justice to be served.

Let’s look back at the case of a missing woman who came to the United States for education, only to have her life cut short.

  1. if the woman isn't engaged in high-risk behavior (prostitution/drugs) the probability is higher that it's someone she lives/works/studies around. not likely she gets abducted by a total stranger in a safe city and no one sees anything.

  2. Looking at this video I thought that the uncle's tears looked dabbed on rather than coming out of his eyes. Then when I saw that the Auntie was also murdered he became very suspect. The Auntie was still actively investigating Elizabeth's murder and maybe she discovered something and her murder was a cover up. Ofcourse the investigators are doing their job, this is just my opinion.

  3. A lovely girl from a loving family. So sick to do this.
Also, young ladies – never be predictable in your moves. Change your route home or to work. Look around and be alert to everyone on your route.

  4. I just finished watching Disappeared on ID literally 10 minutes ago. It just went off showing the mother retuto Mexico and showing her room where she slept before leave. And this just popped up. I need to disable this microphone for listening. Lol
The show didn't have this update. It was an older show.
    Prayers for the family.

  5. These sick people need to be put down they do not deserve to breath the same air as anybody else when they catch him . What a sicko phoning up and spewing all that I hope he rots in hell . Rest in peace Elizabeth I hope they find who did this .

  6. When you guys say that the uncle "looks suspicious" I think it's just racism. Dont speculate too much, dont villanize someone who could be innocent, and let investigators do their work.

  7. Women walking on a busy road are very vulnerable, texting? Not paying attention? Someone probably offered her a ride and had murder on his mind. This is horrible. Women are vulnerable to violence.

  8. I Wonder what happened to her though. Who took her? Was there a sexual motivation? Or was it a crime of jealousy maybe? And what was the cause of death? Did they find other parts of her remains? So many questions.
