Sadistic killer kidnaps siblings for torture after murdering their mother – Crimes and Consequences – Everything Law and Order Blog

In this episode of Crimes and Consequences: Joseph Edward Duncan may not be someone whose name rings a bell, but maybe the case that brought him to justice will. The Groene family were enjoying a night at home one evening in May 2005 when Joseph barged his way into their home and murdered members of the family and decided to kidnap the youngest children—9-year-old Shasta, and 8-year-old Dylan. Then he went on the run for several weeks with the siblings and tortured and abused them as he ran from the law.

  1. Well, Y'all lady's are Great. You tell it like it is. No lying, no sugar coating. I wish there wasn't Any crime in the World, but, at Least y'all keep it Real. Thankyou Lady's and Keep up the Good word. Have a Blessed Day ❤

  2. His name definitely rings a bell in my mind I remember the abduction and it gave me nightmares and the two kids' nightmare. Shasta lived, but suffered a lifetime of loss and pain.

  3. Well, here's my comment: Love you Ladies!!!
Ive been listening to you since day one. You've the same sick humor that a lot of us have, but won't admit.
Its great to put faces with the voices. My only thought was that I thought you were both brunette!😂

  4. What a poor presentation! What an angry beginning! I stumbled on your video on pure coincidence and I’ll make sure I will never return on your Chanel. If I have to rate your video it’s 1/10.

  5. I think u both amazing very strate talking n shows how human people are on podcast n not scared to show how u truly fell keep swearing n ignore the hates xx

  6. I just found y'all and I'm so excited about my new obsession. 😂

I remeber this crime. I had a 1 year old son and pregnant with my twins girls. It was THIS crime that created an over protective mama. My kids are now 20 and 18 and know how to protect themselves. Let's pray they never have to, but if they ever have to, let's pray they remeber what they were taught.
I hate the evil in this world. Its so yucky. This man is so yucky!

  7. The synergy between the two of you is off the charts. Don’t change a thing. You two are everything that a podcast needs to be successful. If you haven’t noticed I’m a fan.

  8. It's funny how you listen to someone and get an idea in your head what they look like…I was picturing Tanya as a brunette. (I hope that's not taken any type of way. I'm not saying anything by it. Just saying.) You are both of course lovely and it's nice to put a face to the voice. Hope to see you do more of these!
I'm totally a nervous laugher as well. It's gotten me into trouble a time or two.
Great job as usual ladies! Thanks for the hours of entertainment. ❤
Oh! I just stumbled across the Beata Kowalski case. I know the family is currently in court so I don't know if you can cover it but it's such a tragic case. I did a search in Spotify and nobody has covered it!

  9. Your rating the commenters comes off as defensive. I tried to hang in with you, but calling someone with a differing opinion from your own "an asshole" is ad hominem argument style, straight outta high school, and should you perhaps have thicker skin? Conduct yourself within a higher standard? Concerning the "f notes – that is how people talk…" – I agree with the glam-commenter who you trashed – you can do better. Let us not normalize casual profanity. To your advice to "move on" as you so glibly put it? I am. I am moving on. Buh bye. Oh, and true crime podcast? Unsubbing them as well.

  10. I watch true crime daily the podcast every morning but this is my first experience with you two ladies. I enjoy you both!! 💜
    Great show!

  11. Bailey Sarian would really get glamdolly worked up just saying and I love my murder makeup Mondays but the f bomb and satire would make her even crazier over there just saying

  12. Yes i have to say the start of the video saying 'we're going to talk about this exciting story…'
Well ive never come across ypu and im a few minutes in and i am shutting off.
You are immature and cannot take constructive criticism.
    True crime isnt a joke.

  13. I like the fact you talk like normal people. The stories are always interesting . You show empathy for the victims. And say what I think about the evil assholes

  14. I love listening to the Sidebar and the TCD podcast. For the 2nd time I'm trying to enjoy this podcast, but I can't. I don't want to be insulting, so I'll keep the reasons to myself. But the lady on the left is useless here.

  15. I laude you both for your raw and honest reactions to such difficult crime cases. I think there are plenty of "news reporting" style podcasts that may please some of the negative commenters here, but I frankly enjoy that your reactions are unfiltered, real, and truthful. This was a very difficult and painful case that serves as a public safety for all of us parents. I send my heartfelt thoughts for all of the victims. You delivered the facts with dignity for the victims.

  16. Why make a segment about a commentor? The mature thing to do is to ignore and get down to business. While you're calling this woman immature, you two sound like high schoolers.
If there are no threats, so what? If you're going to have a podcast, grow some thicker skins 'girls' .
BTW, I visited this sight by error. Thought it was another Crime Daily. Not these cackling hens laughing and giggling about murder.

  17. "Clutch your pearls and move on" 😂 cracked me up! I thought y'all did an excellent job and I don't watch Podcasts. Also, I felt you showed great respect for the victims.
