A scammer claiming to be from the Publisher’s Clearing House contacted me trying to get me to “pre-pay my taxes” on my reward. I didn’t fall for because he had a chicken in the background that kept clucking. Anybody know where he was from??

It's a rooster, and it's not necessarily hungry. In NYC, it's legal to keep hens, but not roosters, presumably due to the noise. My neighbor had an illegal rooster and it crowed all day long. I think it eventually became soup.

I actually had a similar situation happen to me and the thing is, I watched this video BEFORE my own incident so I was freaking out in my head about whether or not I was being scammed. I had to call DoorDash over a cancellation issue for an order I made (the place actually had a power outage and….events occurred. Let's just say, a lot of oil was involved.) It was the first time I actually had to deal with a situation on DoorDash and I wanted to call to make sure that I had done the cancelation/refund process correctly. I was on the app and called the number listed. I'm on the phone with the person and….
THERE ARE ROOSTER CROWING.
Suddenly this episode just slams into my head and I'm worried if I just got connected with a scammer. They didn't ask for any additional information and the usual things that most scammers would ask for (like SS number and all that), the lady and I have a talk about the situation and the cancelation process, I thank you, and then I check my accounts and found that everything was returned. It was just amazing that I had a situation where the chicken thing happened.
