Days after she was reported missing by her family, police found Charlene Voight’s car abandoned in a gravel lot near her home and search her apartment. She didn’t just walk away, they say — she’s a victim.

  1. Moral of the story is don’t file a restraining order. It can trigger people and it’s just a stupid piece of a paper. If someone is going to hurt you. They will. No matter what. She should of moved away and changed her name

  2. Ok, look. As much as I feel for this girl and her loved ones; the fact is that she was is a relationship with a man who at one point (or multiple points, idk) she had felt it necessary to go to the police and obtain a restraining order against and claimed her life was in danger from but then decided to move to another state with the same guy? All the bullshit I hear about women who say "oh its not that simple, we're in love or he always makes me come back to him, etc. I am sorry, but once you reach the point where you are afraid your boyfriend is gonna fucking MURDER you and are getting the authorities involved; it's time to officially cut off all contact, permanently. There are some girls who say that he threatened to hurt or kill a loved one if you leave; how about you get it on video or something that he is saying this; plus if you stay he is still probably gonna kill you and potentially someone else anyway so what are you gaining from allowing that shit? Smarten up, buy a few handguns for yourself and whoever else he might go after and LEARN HOW TO USE IT EFFECTIVELY. Then, the next time he shows up and threatens you or tries to put his hands on you; blow his fucking brains out of the back of his head. There are plenty of options besides just giving up and going back to the bastard; and if you had gone with literally any other option, the chances that you would still be alive would be a hell of alot better. Ladies: grow a pair of lady-balls and save your own life, instead of hoping a broken justice system is gonna do it for you. I'm really sorry for her but people have got to see; men and women, that nobody is gonna save you, if you want to live you are gonna have to save yourself and getting upset that the police and courts are failing to keep you safe isn't going to do anything to help you stay alive. Do you want to be right? or do you want to live?

  3. Why would someone still be in a relationship with some one is capable of beating you and do you harm? Just leave the losser that is what common sense says!!!

  4. First the murder of the wife and her two kids in Fredrick. Then this in Littleton. This is all just way to close to home. Both within 45 minutes of me.

  5. Colorado is so sketchy. So many people go missing from that state at a alarming rate . There’s a extreme lack of stories and news about these missing people as well.

  6. For possible future domestic abused victims, don’t file a restraining order. Address the prosecutors about the issue, then try moving to a different state and change your identity. Clearly a dumb piece of paper that tells a spouse that he/she can never come near you doesn’t do anything. Charlene isn’t the first to be killed after filing a restraining order….

  7. That would be so scary, your loved one just gone, it would be scarier not knowing where your loved one was and also the father and the lady asking for help against the guy, hes dangerous, someone should have done something, he beat her up, he would be the 1st person of interest
