Sheriff’s Wife Claims Man Groped Her, Leading to Unlawful Arrest: Lawsuit – Everything Law and Order Blog

Stephen Tinsley, the elected sheriff of Clinch County, Georgia and his wife, Deputy April Tinsley, were stopped at a gas station hours away from their jurisdiction when Deputy Tinsley told her husband a man inside the store groped her buttocks. Sheriff Tinsley arrested Darius Rice and handed him over to local deputies. Deputy Tinsley was accused of snatching Rice’s girlfriend’s phone away from her when she tried to record, but no charges were ever filed. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber has a video of part of the confrontation and analyzes the lawsuit against the law enforcement couple.

  1. Oh so he knew the guy was dating his political rival? This whole thing seems a little fishy. Then your wife is a HABITUAL liar. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤣🤣🤣
If he gets voted back in then the people of that county are setting themselves up for failure.

  2. Cop and wife in wrong. Come on look at the woman who complained. She would be so lucky that someone who works in a sewage plant would want her. The guy he arrested did not wrong. His wife puts herself on a higher level. Joke lol

  3. And this so-called legal system wonders why many don't trust cops, judges and or prosecutors. Many cops are bullies all due to their egos believing because they have a badge, they're 100% correct all of the time. Ridiculous.

  4. Classic case of cops showing favoritism to loved ones, and then trying to prevent collection of any evidence of their wrongdoing. If you think there's a legit case and there is not reasonable expectation of further harm, the right thing for any cop would be to call the local jurisdiction and demand the suspect not to leave.

Done ruined your case making a shaky arrest with excessive force, including the fact youre yanking around one suspect trying to show off how big and bad you are to handcuff a second subject. No court is going to find that reasonable.
