Georgia teen Mia Campos left her home on the evening of July 14 and when she never returned, her family became concerned. The Campos family used an app to track her location and found her dead in the woods just hours after she walked out their front door. Mia was 7.5 months pregnant at the time of her death. In a twisted turn of events, the unborn baby’s father, 20-year-old Jesus Monroy, was charged with her murder. Authorities allege Monroy lured her out of the home with a routine convenience store run before allegedly murdering her. Monroy then joined in on the search for Mia with her parents, who said he acted emotionless and cold upon finding Mia’s body. Law&Crime’s Sierra Gillespie speaks with Mia’s parents about the tragic case.

Mia’s father let him know in advance that he would be responsible for his daughter & grandson. If he didn’t want to be a father he should have just walked away. He was given that option. This just doesn’t make sense to me.

They seem like they would have been wonderful grandparents. They had reacted to their teen daughter's pregnancy the best way for everyone involved. Of course they would have preferred that she got pregnant when she was older but they were making the best of it, and looking forward to the birth of their grandson. This is such a sad thing for her family to endure. I'm glad he (the murderer) is being charged with murdering the baby also. Some states don't have those laws but thankfully Georgia does. Say an extra prayer today for this heartbroken family to heal. So sad.

Parents discuss with your daughters the idea of abstinence, of saying “no”, of not letting themselves be taken advantage of etc., especially if they do have a religious life –
should be part of it. A boy who loves their daughter won’t put her in a position like pregnancy, he’ll wait for marriage. And birth control if all else fails, but talk to them about all of it.

Cant understand why the gofund me requests a $50,000 goal?.. That is alot of money for a funeral. And how was it that her dad found her so quickly? Strange. How did he know where she was exacrly even beside the phone tracking its not exact.
