A Massachusetts social worker faces multiple charges after allegedly forging her identity and enrolling in three different Boston-area high schools in two years. Thirty-two-year-old Shelby Hewitt stands accused of pretending to be a 13-year-old traumatized foster child and tricking three schools into approving her enrollment in classes — which she attended and even joined the women’s basketball team. The Law&Crime Network’s Jesse Weber discusses the bizarre case with forensic psychiatrist Dr. Daniel Bober.

  1. The real question is ,you would think her old self would have been reported as missing.Would not her family know she quit her career and went back to ''school''. lol

  2. Explains why so much gets past social workers they really don’t even have to work so most probably don’t do very much. Terrible system, they should have to physically clock in on a computer or something. I can’t believe they just pay people with zero show of work or proof they ever are at work. How did no one notice?

  3. I just wanna know how she was able to do this not once but TWICE .. AND they showed so many cracks in the system.. I can't understand how it was allowed to happen

  4. If she didn't have the hair thinning and the receding hairline, she would actually look very young because at some angles, she does actually pass for a high school aged girl!

  5. The girl got caught and her department told her to take one for the team and to plead insanity so she could get out. And they'll change her identity and put her in another field later. That girl was undercover guys. Her cover just got blown. Whose paying her legal fees??? Is it her Department…

  6. I don't buy it. I think she's undercover and is working with the cops and her company and they told her to take the fall b/c she wasn't supposed to get caught. It makes no sense, plus her job was still paying her. Also, she looks a lot like a teenage. I would have though she was a teen or 18 or 19 years of age, not 32. Guys this is like a 21 jump street game. Someone in authority would have had to help her with all of this. And someone posing as her father was probably someone in the police department or FBI or CIA or Child Services etc. She had to have had help. She didn't do all of that on her own.

  7. I've had dreams about being back in high school. I get it that there is nostalgia attached to high school, but to go back there? She could have literally used all that effort and smart to build a cool life for herself.

  8. The unpopular girl that had greasy hair every day. Talk about a complex scam! Hey, wasn’t there a Law And Order episode about this? She certainly was not there to learn anything. I probably would have been the person who noticed the discrepancy in the paperwork. I had that reputation.
