A Westchester County, New York man is charged with murder, after he allegedly beat a social worker to death for knocking on his uncle’s door. Hasseem Jenkins told police that he thought she was going to attack him. The victim, Maria Coto, 56, managed to call 911 before Jenkins reportedly took her phone. Court documents reveal the phone was still in Jenkins’ pocket and still connected to 911 when police arrived. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber breaks down the disturbing story with attorney Paul Townsend.

People are so disgusting & evil.
There’s already a reason there’s more of a need for social workers all over the US. Retention is horrible. But we NEED people caring for the severely mentally ill. This happens more often than people realize. Many of my coworkers were injured badly.

In 2000, the census taker was so full of fear and anxiety, I decided social worker duties were in the same boat. Visiting someone at their house results in severe danger and high risk.
A SOCIAL WORKER SHOULD NEVER GO TO THE CLIENTS HOUSE 🏠 PERIOD… ALL BUSINESS SHOULD BE CONDUCTED IN AN OFFICE PROTECTED BY DEPUTIES THATS FUNDAMENTAL WHO DID SHE WORK FOR WHAT COMPANY?

Very tragic as a former Rehabilitation Counselor , I would pay home visits…some neighborhoods and apartments very scary so I would carry pepper spray.
