   I have a question.
   If someone takes out a life insurance policy on you, shouldn't the insurance company have to make sure that you are aware of this?
   That right there would surely help some potential victims of this type of evil, especially if they had no idea about it.
   Or even both parties have to be physically present, give fingerprints etc proving they are who they say they are, before a policy can be issued.
   If you then become suspicious of the person, you can have the beneficiary changed and the person informed that the beneficiary has been changed and perhaps why, putting them on notice.
   If you stay, they could still kill you, but they wouldn't benefit financially from it which seems the main point in most of these types of crimes.

9. 1st case: Otherwise solid parents gave kid too much too, too easy, then tries to make him responsible. Resent turns to hate turns to tragedy.
   2nd case: actually this one gives me the warm fuzzies. The only thing that could have made it better is if both were eaten alive by the wild animals that these “trophy” hunters were hunting.

31. This is such a tragic story. I am so glad the jury finally got this one right. A.J. was a selfish little evil privileged child who decided to off his loving parents who only wanted him to be responsible for his actions. Instead of correcting his actions, he decided to get rid of his parents, thus get rid of his problems. Here is the deal…A.J. was only in high school when he decided to commit this terrible act, and had he coorporated with his parents and try to do the right thing, he would have most likely been done with high school and college by the time the trial ended. He would have been on with his life and able to make his own decisions about his life by now anyway, and his parents would have, and should have still been enjoying their lives. A.J. seems like a very bright person, I think he probably thought it all the way through, and figured I can continue to do what I want to do in life, and inherit their money without having to deal with them any longer. I think he was just that evil. Enjoy your 40 years in jail A.J. I only feel sorry for your other two sblings. May God be with them.

37. Remarks on the dentist story: most hunting campsites are in remote jungle areas. Game rangers have no training in homicide investigations. Police are far from game reserves and may take days to visit the crime scene. Homicides are also very rare in Zambia. This dentist had hatched a Simple Plan. Fortunately, he got what he deserved. This story reminds me of another made into a 1991 TV movie titled And the Sea Shall Tell in which the man killed his wife in a concocted boating accident and claimed she fell off the yacht while they were vacationing at some remote island in the Pacific. Her body was never found. But the sea talked and the man was convicted of murder in a US court.

You would think that by now the insurance companies would demand that the spouse be there, in person and video recorded as proof that the spouse, does indeed, agree to be on the policy.
