A middle school teacher in Texas is facing allegations of misconduct with a student. Adriana Rullan, 27, who taught at Memorial Middle School in McAllen, Texas, was arrested and charged with improper relations between an educator and a 13-year-old student.

This is not something that has just "popped up" lately. It is something that has been going on for a very long time. Things like this were just swept under the rug. When I was in highschool we had a English teacher and theater club sponsor who carried on affares with some of the popular boys. Despite that it was "common knowledge" amongst the student body the only thing that was done is that she was denied a contract and thus was denied tenure.
