The trial for a New Mexico woman accused of killing her newborn baby and leaving him in a hospital bathroom trash can has been delayed. Alexee Trevizo’s trial for the death of her baby was scheduled to begin later this month. But the judge presiding over her case ruled what happened at the hospital with doctors treating Trevizo is privileged and can’t be used against her at trial. Law&Crime’s Angenette Levy looks at the issue and talks with Trevizo’s lawyer, Gary Mitchell, in this episode of Crime Fix — a daily show covering the biggest stories in crime.

  1. Allowing this type of footage to be admissible would set such a horrible president for the future, it’s actually pretty disgusting that it was made available for the public in the first place. Like what do they mean by this? You don’t have the right to medical privacy if you allow one person other trusted in the room with you and the care provider? Does that mean that therapists are allowed to share what you said to them just because you brought your parent or partner to an appointment? Does it mean that there is no hipaa protection if you bring your partner to the GYN, making it okay for the nurse to tell others about your STI? Makes no sense.

  2. Any judge will not let this slide,

PC cant even keep her safe…

This is bigger then H03 is life, this needs to be addressed an unfortunately she is trying to benefit out of her sons death..she killed her son..

  3. She threw that baby away she is guilty. If she would of told the dr she had a ba y they might of saved him but the way she covered him up at the bottom of the trashcan. She knew what she was doing. She's not innocent, and she deserves to rot in prison.

  4. She could had simply said a baby came out of me…..but she simply just said nothing instead she threw the baby away like nothing …she could had told one of the nurses or the mom

  5. I’m not saying what she did was okay AT ALL. I will say though, right or wrong she was young and ignorant. Having her baby on a bathroom floor, trying to keep this a secret, and then the baby not crying- she could have had a pure shock reaction and thought her baby died. Based on the umbilical cord being torn WHICH IS IMPORTANT, why would she try to cut that cord if she wanted to kill her baby. You have to clip the cord before you cut it which she probably did not know. I don’t think it’s cold blood the way people think, as incredibly tragic and ignorant this entire situation was. I think this was lack of education and honesty with her family.

  6. And sorry one more thing everyone who's being cruel about this women were literally all same and not crazy or would ever think to kill a child like duh this is such bs I can't I'm so mad at this women these teens need to grow up if they wanna act grown n stop hiding behind there parents when they do awful crazy unforgivable things come on now

  7. Its disgusting how she keeps calling the baby "it." She's a heartless, entitled, brat who got caught. Then the let her go to Prom? WTF is wrong with these people? Does the baby not have any rights? My husband was in a bed in the hall in the local ED on two separate locations. Both times, the Staff spoke to him about his care and what the plans were for him. There was no way HIPAA was followed.

  8. This woman threw her baby in the trash and he has the nerve to complain that people are being mean. You can’t get much crueler than what she did.

  9. I think mom knew, in her tone of voice. She knew something when she said "why didn't you tell me". I know my own mother or other mothers I know. They would have a much stronger reaction. Her mother didn't seem shocked at all.

  10. Let's be real—claiming she didn’t know she was pregnant doesn't add up. How do you explain her putting the baby in a trash bag? If she actually gave birth, why didn’t she call for help from the hospital staff?

If a baby came out my vagina, and I didnt know I was pregnant, I would be screaming. Not come out a chill.

  11. I became pregnant at 18, got married, and began moving around the country with my husband(also 18) who joined the Air Force to support us. I was younger than this woman (yes, she is a WOMAN , not a little girl). This is all a big act. "I was scaaaaared. I didn't know what to doooooo." SERIOUSLY?? A woman knows her own body by 19. I could 100% see her pregnant belly in the video of her cheerleading, so she cannot expect the world to believe SHE didn't notice it when she was showering or looking in the mirror unclothed. Also, babies don't 'fall out'. Believe me, I had 5 children and each one took the usual 12-18 hours of agony and pushing. Nobody 'fell out' unnoticed!! This woman is a master manipulator.

  12. So what she did was illegal, but the handling of the case was not by the book, therefore, the criminal goes free. Man I forgot you could get away with murder on a technicality.

  13. She was deceitful and lying and uncooperative. She was never arrested in the hospital, so no need to give her rights. What justice is her baby receiving? The victim is her baby and she was resposible for bringing him into this world. I only see a person motivated by her own selfish agenda.

  14. I don’t think law enforcement was trying to get information about her “reproductive issues” like Lexi’s lawyer is claiming, they showed up because a dead baby was involved and disposed of like trash! That’s the real issue! Can’t believe they are having the upper hand so far in this case! She needs to be in jail!

  15. How fkng dare that little piece of 🤬 lawyer bring up women that have miscarriages and experience stillbirth to make the point that "babies die all the time, that's life." THAT horror, and the horror that this woman inflicted upon her own child are NOT THE SAME. SICK. PoOr aLeXi, PoOr LiTtLe GiRL ALL SHE DID WAS K-LL HER OWN INFANT. Lock her and her mom up. Gonna go touch grass, this case about to make me lose my mind.
