  1. The audacity for that woman to plead "not guilty" after what she did, tells you that those tears are not regretful tears, nor remorse, tears for not being able to get away with it.

  2. There is No Damm excuse for the drivers actions 100miles an hour and u didn't notice helloo well niw she can sit in a box and visited it out tho it's wrong so do these 2lil girls forever in a box there is no justice in this story my heart goes to their family!thus is Ni accident she intentionally didn't care about anyone but her good time she deserves max punishment!!even her friends told her slow down she continued to show off running her over still wouldn't bring back those kids Shame and she's on house arrest r u serious what is wrong with r system

  3. Hate to pull the race card. But if she was a person of color. There would be no doubt that she would be doing time in jail. Probably life. And that’s what she rightfully deserves. And the fact she pleaded not guilty. Says it all. No remorse. She needs to be in jail FOR LIFE.

  4. This is exactly why I always wondered why people want to live so close to the road. It's an accident waiting to happen and it happens all the time unfortunately.
If that was a Semi truck driver they would all be dead.

  5. She received only two years in prison, followed by two years home confinement, and then two years probation. That's it! It makes me sick. She should have spent many decades behind bars.

  6. I think it's tragic but I do think she should be tried as a juvenile. She didn't do anything with malice. She was just being an out of control teenager making bad and reckless choices.

  7. I wouldn’t defend her in any way, obviously she deserves to face consequences … but what’s the point of having a court system where juveniles are tried differently, but then whenever a minor does something really bad you just try them as an adult anyway?

Committing a terrible crime doesn’t mean she’s suddenly an adult.

And don’t get me wrong, she should definitely serve time and face consequences. Driving while high is so fucked up, and in her case it ended the lives of two innocent girls. So yes, she should face time, but also it just always bothers me when they try minors as adults …. Because then what is the point of having different protocols for minors in the first place?!

I realize as I’m typing this, maybe it’s because if she were tried as a minor/juvenile then there would be a shorter max sentence or something? But still, I feel like they need a better system.

Then again, the justice system(s) in North America are broken in many, many ways, and I guess this is just another part of its nonsense.

  8. Going more than 100mph? And murdered 2 kids. Send this person to jail for a long long time. And of course she was intoxicated. She plead not guilty? And out on bond? What does someone have to do to not get bond?

  9. i understand that the american legal system distinguishes between murder, accident, intent and motive, yet i don't know for whom justice is actually served…
for the victims or for the perpetrators?
The victims, unlike the perpetrators, usually have to struggle with the consequences of these acts for the rest of their lives,
while the perpetrators often escape prison early and quickly slide through the resocialization as potential repeat offenders.
