18. This is so sad and scary. As a teen I ran away many times and it wasn't until I was older I realized how lucky I was that nothing happened to me. I was in one situation where I was 15 and got in the car with someone I thought I could trust and ended up in a remote area called Vasco Road. It ended up clicking that something was wrong so I said I needed to use the bathroom and was able to go behind the vehicle. Another car was driving by and saw me crouched behind the car and pulled over. I got very lucky it was a man going to work at a hospital where he was a nurse. He had his identification tag clipped to his scrubs for work and I jumped in the vehicle. At that moment it felt like my safest option and I was taken to the hospital. The 3 men in the vehicle were obviously long gone when police got to the area. This could have easily been me and we see so many stories of teens being taken and murdered. It's devastating to all. I am praying for the family
