Texas Teen Dumped Baby in Dumpster After Giving Birth Behind Taco Truck: Cops – Everything Law and Order Blog

A Houston judge raised 18-year-old Everilda Cux-Ajtzalam’s bond to $200,000 as she faces a charge of abandoning her newborn. The baby boy was found wrapped up in a plastic bag inside a dumpster, with the placenta and umbilical cord in the bag as well. Cux-Ajtzalam allegedly told police that she did it because she didn’t want her boyfriend to break up with her. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber discusses the case with Gary Mitchell, attorney for Alexee Trevizo, the New Mexico woman facing similar charges after allegedly putting her own newborn into a hospital trash can.

  1. I checked out with the comments of the attorney when he said "These girls aren't adults". Excuse me?? One was 18 and the other was 20. Using Young adults trying to downplay their responsibility. She didn't know? She knew when that baby popped out of her!! Can't believe New Mexico agreed with him. SMH

  2. Gary Mitchell, she did not get betrayed & denied help! That hospital staff was doing everything they could to try to help her, but she insisted on lying over & over to them & locking herself in the bathroom, & hiding everything, so that they couldn't help her! This attorney spews forth so much nonsense.

  3. Not sure how that lawyer of Alexi became a lawyer but the fact that he’s commending her for taking a polygraph test and passed is beyond me. The fact still remains that she intentionally knew she just had a baby and put her baby in the trash because “nothing was crying” instead of running out the bathroom where a doctor was ready to help her!! The baby was breathing the autopsy reported so the baby was alive when she put the baby in the trash! Just because “nothing was crying” doesn’t mean you can’t clearly see it was breathing. I’ve had 3 babies my first son was asleep when he came out so he didn’t cry right away which I then asked the dr if he was ok. The dr replied he’s perfect! he’s just asleep lol. When she placed my son on my chest I could see he was breathing. I think she knew what she was doing and didn’t want to get in trouble with her mom so she tried to get rid of the baby. She should be sent to prison for the rest of her life. And if she isn’t sent to prison for the rest of her life I think she should be sterilized!!

  4. And the other girl was in the hospital already, help is literally down the damn hallway, no reason to throw it in the trash. Just tell them you want to give it away.

  5. There are baby safe haven laws in every state across this country! There’s absolutely no excuse for this!
Lexi could’ve walked out of the hospital scott free! All she had to do was say she didn’t want the baby!
