These pups aren’t pets – they’re rescue dogs training to become service animals. And the trainers? They’re the inmates.

Great way to save abused animals, so the shelters can stay NO KILL
God bless that lady for driving that far and making a difference!!!!
Yes, more of these kinds of programs! Win, win win!
This is 6 years old so I hope this is still going on because it is a good thing for the inmates and the dogs and the people they help by training a service dog. They need this program in every prison I am all for it it's a good thing
Smoochy sound… awww…
Great way for prisoners to repay their debt to society.
ALL prisons/Correction Centers need this program!

Great job
Good Dog's Great Job

This program is a scam.
Great program. Win win for everyone. Dogs are amazing gifts to humans.
All prisons need to have training programs like this. They also need to have gardens to tend to and grow their food.
I remember learning about this program a few years ago and thinking how great it was until recently seeing that one of the poor dogs had been killed in one of the inmates cells! Glad it's not operating anymore, the most trusting and beautiful of creatures are too precious to be around violent criminals.
Great idea. The guys learn compassion and responsibility. The dogs don't care and both have nothing but time. Every prison should do this. The cost – a fence and door – usually material is donated and they guys do the work. I don't see a down side at all!!
We need this program at every prison so that there won't be a shortage of service dogs for those who need one. I have several patients who either need one or will need one, yet don't have the money to purchase a trained service dog and the waitlist for a donated service dog is long. Please support Prison Pet Partnerships in your area and contact your local prison and advocate for them to start one. Also, volunteer to help these programs, including becoming a foster family for transitioning service and paroled dogs.
A great program. Every prison should have it since shelters are overcrowded and its good for the dogs and the inmates.
Cuteness is the only crime that every dog commits, plz come to get me, puppy!
"Cuteness is the only crime these K-9's are guilty of." haha, sounds like something Anchorman would say.
Denise seems like such a wonderful person. She picked inmates because she could help them, not because she's making money off them… I hope she keeps doing that
What a great program ♡
I LOOVE IT THIS PROGRAM IN ALL THE PRISON I VOTE YES GOD BLESS
