‘There’s No Way’: CrossFit Co-Founder’s Husband Says State Can’t Convict Him for Treehouse Murder – Everything Law and Order Blog

After a judge declared a mistrial in the treehouse murder case against Franklin Tyrone Tucker, the man who represented himself throughout the entire trial spoke to Law&Crime’s Michel Bryant. “There’s no way they’re going to get a conviction,” Tucker said when asked about what will happen at the next trial. “Now I’m coming back with two witnesses who say they’re 100% sure that I didn’t do it.” Tucker is the husband of CrossFit co-founder Lauren Jenai. Investigators believe Tucker was responsible for executing a deadly robbery in Key West back in 2017.

  1. A decent lawyer could have gotten him off easily as long as they are likeable enough, especially with the poor excuses for prosecutors the state had. So, my advice to Tucker is get a decent, but more importantly LIKEABALE defense lawyer so you dont have to keep going thru this.
    Also, if he does decide to represent himself again, want you want to ask for before the defense 's case is for a "Directed verdict" ( not a motion to dismiss
    )

  2. Anyone who has investigated this backstory, realizes that this man is innocent! I am not saying not guilty because he is innocent! The state is acting as if they have a personal vendetta to the extent that they would let a real murderer walk ,in order to try to frame this man. I watched the whole trial and lost all faith in the justice system. Even the judge was a bully and condescending! They just have no proof, but they insist on wasting the taxpayers dollars on railroading and innocent man! I have never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Tucker or his wife, but I send them all the best and keep them in my thoughts and prayers! I am Canadian who lives in Nova Scotia, but I have watched every second of the trial in shock and horror!

  3. The judge did not deny him presenting his other witness. This pro se defendant didn’t do what he needed to on his end for this other witness to get there from jail. Tell your side of the story, fine. But why lie? Just be honest.

  4. I think you did well. I do agree they are out to get you, so I would get a Lawyer next time. Best of luck to you! (The Justice system is broken, but that's a broken record conversation)

  5. The prosecution is going to just waste more time and money. I watched the whole trial. They didn't prove crap. If they insist thou, I strongly recommend Ty move his stand by attorneys to their proper role. I strongly believe he would have gotten a not guilty verdict if he hadn't represented himself. He didn't do a bad job for a pro se defendant. But actual trained and experienced attorneys would have done a better job.
