The officers were wrong yes, however I question the wisdom of flipping off the police. Your calling attention to yourself intentionally. Yes it's free speech under our constitution but what purpose does it serve, It caused that man a whole lot of trouble for nothing.

I was picking up a car in Florida one time and had an asshole trooper grill me about the window tent being too dark kept us for almost an hour on the road asking us all kinds of questions I called back and the supervisor said that he has had many reports on that cop and I said why is he still there but I never got a answer.
What came first? Bad cops or the bird for bad cops? The ego, the pettiness, the lack of caring for him or the cards inconvenienced in the road and the lack of repect for the judicial system by clogging it with these retailiatory stops should not go un punished. I think the citizens should be allowed to have some input into the evaluation of officers in their community. They should be able to help make sure the officers serving them are to notch and without distain for the citizens they serve/abuse.

In my Florida town, golf carts routinely ride the sidewalks, even tho no motorized vehicles are allowed on our sidewalks, yet when my son tried to slowly ride an ATV on the shoulder of a quiet backroad, the cops targeted him, insisting he push the ATV home.
